US Plan to Fragment Sudan (2013)

Hizb ut Tahrir

The document discusses the American plan to fragment Sudan, detailing its methods and ways to thwart it. It highlights the secession of South Sudan and the subsequent threats to further divide the remaining part of Sudan. It also emphasizes the need for a Caliphate as the only guarantee for a better life under Islamic rule.

مقدمة / Introduction

Beginning of the Book On July 9, 2011, the secession of South Sudan was officially announced, establishing a small state based on regional and racial grounds. This marked the success of the initial phase of the American plan to fragment Sudan. Susan Rice, head of the US delegation at the South Sudan independence celebrations in Juba, stated, "The independence of the South did not come as a gift, but was taken by force," (Al-Sahafa Newspaper, issue 6456). The government's weakness and its implementation of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA), as well as the opposition forces' eagerness to reach power at any cost, emboldened America to accelerate its plan to fragment Sudan. The SPLA's northern sector held a military parade with heavy equipment in the city of Kurmuk in the Blue Nile State on the day of South Sudan's secession. Major General Ahmed Badi, commander of the SPLA forces in the north, stated, "We are advocates of peace, but if we are terrorized by war, we will lead it and tear apart the remaining Sudan" (Al-Sahafa Newspaper, July 10, 2011).

خاتمة / Conclusion

Conclusion of the Book It is incumbent upon all Muslims to realize that the Caliphate alone is the real guarantee for a better life under the rule of Islamic laws and systems. Hizb ut-Tahrir, under the leadership of its eminent global leader, Ata bin Khalil Abu Rashtah, has resolved its affairs, gathered its strength, and is steadily moving towards its declaration as a Rightly Guided Caliphate on the Prophetic method, and its dawn is near. (Is not the dawn near?).
