Khilafah Conference (2013)

This conference aims to strengthen the resolve of the Ummah to work towards implementing Sharia and establishing the Caliphate. The importance of this goal is particularly evident as the world begins to change in most of its countries, in the Middle East, South Asia, Europe, and even in America. Therefore, the conference was titled: 'Major Global Changes Herald the Establishment of the Caliphate.' This title indicates that change is inevitable, but if it is not radical and based on a correct methodology, it will not bring good. This is what happened in Muslim countries, especially in Indonesia, up to this day; the changes that took place there were neither radical nor based on a correct methodology. Through these conferences, Hizb ut-Tahrir aims to educate society that the only way to achieve real change is by establishing this religion, by implementing Islamic Sharia in the Caliphate state. The Caliphate is a general leadership for all Muslims in the world to establish this religion and carry it to the world. The Islamic Caliphate was able to unite Muslims in the world for nearly 1400 years, so they were one nation, and it implemented the rulings of Islamic Sharia, so it was a mercy to the worlds. Establishing the Caliphate is one of the most obligatory duties upon the Ummah, so Muslims must exert their utmost effort and energy to work towards this great goal in order to restore their glory. We are pleased to present to you in this book the events of the Khilafah Conference 2013. We ask Allah Almighty that this book contains some memories of major historical events so that it will be a motivation for Muslims to always fulfill what Allah has obligated them to do by implementing His Sharia in the Caliphate.
