The collapse of the republican system in Afghanistan represents one of the most pivotal developments for the people of Afghanistan and the Islamic nation in general in the twenty-first century. This system not only lacked any roots in Islamic belief, but was also the product of a new colonial design; an imported system built to institutionalize corruption, dependency and injustice. Its fall was the natural and inevitable end of a system that from its inception was alien to the Islamic identity and inconsistent with the values of Islam.
