The Two-State Solution is a Colonial Solution to the Palestinian Issue
(Translated)
News:
While Gaza is still burning, and dozens of its people are martyred daily by bombing and starvation, and violence is escalating in the West Bank at the hands of the barbaric occupation, the push is renewed, especially from some Western countries, towards a two-state solution, which they claim will pave the way for resolving the decades-long conflict in the region. France, Britain and Canada, among other countries, have announced their intention to recognize a Palestinian state, if specific conditions are met. A high-level international conference held at the United Nations headquarters in New York in July, chaired by France and Saudi Arabia, also discussed the need to put in place concrete steps to achieve a two-state solution. The conference resulted in a seven-page declaration supporting this goal, which was also endorsed by member states of the League of Arab States and the European Union.
Comment:
The two-state solution to the Palestinian issue is an American colonial solution, highlighted every time various colonial countries seek to divert international attention from the role they play in supporting and consolidating the bloodthirsty Jewish entity, and to present themselves as peacemakers, which is far from the truth. In this case, the colonial powers' calls for recognition of a Palestinian state are nothing more than a smokescreen to try to divert attention from domestic and international outrage at their continued complicity in this genocide of the people of Gaza, by supplying the occupation with weapons. It is nothing more than a diplomatic charade that changes nothing on the ground!
These colonial governments know very well that the implementation of the two-state solution, where a Palestinian state is supposed to live peacefully alongside a Jewish state, is a completely impractical and detached fantasy. In fact, it has become an open joke among their diplomatic circles, who realize that there is no way to establish a state from the West Bank and East Jerusalem, which includes more than 200 settlements and about 700,000 settlers, and which is separated from the Gaza Strip by occupied territories completely destroyed by the occupation. Nevertheless, they continue to wave the idea of a two-state solution as if it were a magic wand that can erase decades of injustice, land grabbing, massacres, imprisonment and ethnic cleansing of the people of Palestine at the hands of the Jews!
Moreover, calls for a two-state solution will not put an end to the ongoing crimes of the Jewish entity against the people of Palestine or stop its expansionist goal of creating a "Greater Israel" and seizing the entire Holy Land. This is the clear path of the Jewish entity's policy. In fact, the Jewish government is discussing plans to build thousands of new housing units in the E1 area, east of East Jerusalem, which would link the large Ma'ale Adumim settlement to Jerusalem. This would steal nearly 3,000 acres to build more than 4,000 settlement units, which would effectively divide, fragment and further isolate the West Bank. Netanyahu has also announced plans to occupy the Gaza Strip.
It is clear, then, that the two-state solution is pure fantasy! Rabih Eghbariah, a human rights lawyer, writes: "The truth is that the two-state solution has become an illusion; a slogan repeated to hide the entrenched reality of the one state. From the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea, 'Israel' controls the lives of all the people of Palestine, without equal rights, without equal representation, and with a system built to maintain Jewish supremacy."
Moreover, what would the Palestinian state look like? It will be a state without real sovereignty, without a cohesive territory, without economic viability, without control over its borders, waters and airspace, and without an army to protect it from its enemies, surrounded by a criminal occupying entity that has proven to the world that it does not care about any international law or agreement, ethical standard, or sovereignty of states! In other words, it will be a meaningless state! Add to this that accepting the two-state solution means accepting a Palestinian state on 20% or less of the Holy Land. This means accepting the Jewish entity's theft of the land of Palestine, accepting its ethnic cleansing, its mass displacement of the people of Palestine from their homes, its use of terrorism, massacres, arrests and house demolitions to expand its control over the land, and accepting the criminal occupation's right to exist by recognizing its permanent borders. How can this be fair, ethical or correct?! Therefore, the two-state solution is nothing more than a cynical means used by the colonial powers to force Muslims to accept the existence of the Jewish entity, to give up the occupied Muslim land, and to overlook decades of heinous occupation crimes!
Accepting less than the complete liberation of Palestine is a betrayal of Allah, His Messenger ﷺ, and our religion. There should also be a state that unites the Holy Land with the rest of the Muslim lands, and governs by the Sharia of Allah and His system. This state is the Second Rightly Guided Caliphate on the Prophetic Method; it alone is capable of achieving justice, preserving the rights and dignity of all its subjects regardless of their religion, and establishing peace and security for all under its rule, as it has done for centuries. Therefore, as Muslims, we must reject any colonial illusions, and answer the call to establish the Caliphate on the Prophetic Method, which will end this genocide, do justice to the people of Palestine, and liberate all our lands!
