Is Trump running out of patience with Russia?
News:
Zelensky emphasized the importance of strengthening relations between Ukraine and NATO and increasing the defense spending of the alliance's countries. Earlier, Axios revealed that America plans to sell weapons worth nearly $10 billion to its allies in the alliance in the first phase, with these weapons later being sent to Ukraine.
This information comes in the wake of Trump's statement, during a press conference at the White House hosting NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, where he announced that he would impose a 100 percent tariff on Russia if an agreement with Ukraine is not reached within 50 days. (Rai Al-Youm)
Comment:
The talk returns again to reviving the arming of Ukraine and supporting it with long-range missiles. A Ukrainian official, quoting the American administration, stated that it urged Ukraine to target the Russian depth as a means to force Russia to sit at the negotiating table and lower the ceiling of its demands, which it raised significantly after the statements of the Trump administration since taking office that it would not support Ukraine with weapons and that it wants peace and an end to the Russian-Ukrainian war file. Therefore, Russia exploited these statements in pressing hard militarily and politically, so it raised the ceiling of its demands to the point that it wants to impose on Ukraine the disarmament and its remaining as a buffer zone between it and NATO. All of this Russia is maneuvering with, exploiting the confusion of the Trump administration and its immersion in major and global files until today it has not been able to solve any of them; the war of the entity of Jews on the people of Palestine brought great consequences that implicated America and shackled it because of the absolute support for the entity, and what followed from the war with Iran, as well as the renewed heat of the Syria file, not to mention the China file, none of which has been resolved, and this is what encouraged Russia to demand while it is in a position of strength.
All these interferences made the Trump administration return to waving military pressure to force Russia to be more rational and agree to end the war.
It also turns out that America will support Ukraine with weapons, but from the treasury of Europe and NATO, and this is an important development for the Trump administration and a step that America wants.
As for England, it welcomed this step on the tongue of its defense minister, who said we will stand by Ukraine to achieve absolute victory over Russia, meaning that Britain does not want the war to end, but is working to prolong it and to create a direct confrontation between America and Russia, perhaps it will get something from its bygone history, as is its habit of cunning, deceit, and setting up rival countries.
The conclusion is that Trump does not want a comprehensive and strong war between Russia and Ukraine, but wants it to pressure Russia to negotiate and end the war, perhaps this will be his first achievement in the first year of his presidential term. The question is, will Russia soften? Or will it continue to put pressure to achieve the greatest amount of its interests?
