Indonesia to Treat 2,000 Wounded from Gaza
News:
Indonesia has announced that it will airlift 2,000 wounded people from Gaza to receive treatment on Galang Island. The presidential spokesperson said that this step aims for medical relief and not resettlement, stressing that the patients will return to their homes after their treatment is completed.
Comment:
Indonesia has taken this step hoping to absorb internal criticism regarding its shortcomings in providing effective support to Gaza. I did a quick search about Galang Island and found that it is a relatively remote island and not densely populated. I also found that it is historically known as a Vietnamese refugee camp that was established in the seventies and eighties of the last century. I also found that it does not have a developed infrastructure compared to the major Indonesian cities and that it is currently used for governmental projects, such as field hospitals or quarantine centers, as happened during the Covid-19 pandemic, where Galang Emergency Hospital was built to isolate cases of infection. What a shame to move your injured, distressed, and terrified Muslim brother to such a place as if he were insignificant and did not deserve to be provided with the finest types of healthcare, or as if he were an epidemic that you do not want to spread?!
Whoever truly wants to help the people of Gaza must stop the killing in all its forms and shapes, military, food-related, and otherwise. Anything less than that is not considered help. What kind of help is it to feed him, treat him, and then return him to what he was before?! Whoever truly wants to help the people of Gaza must mobilize the armies immediately, for only iron can break iron. The armies will not move under the existing treacherous and agent regimes in the Islamic countries today. Therefore, it has become obligatory, based on the principle of "that without which an obligation cannot be fulfilled is itself obligatory," to overthrow these regimes and establish the Second Rightly-Guided Caliphate according to the method of Prophethood. This is exactly what Hizb ut-Tahrir is working towards, following the example of the Messenger ﷺ in building the first Islamic state. We call you to this, O Muslims, if you truly want to help the people of Gaza.
