How the Muslim Rulers Abandoned Gaza for the Sake of Diplomacy and Deals!
(Translated)
News:
Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto called for an immediate ceasefire between the Jewish entity and Hamas, and a de-escalation between the entity and Iran. During his meeting with Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong, Prabowo stressed the importance of a peaceful solution through diplomacy. He expressed his deep concern about the loss of life in Gaza and the escalating tension in the Middle East. He also touched on the Myanmar crisis, stressing ASEAN's commitment to implementing the five-point consensus to end violence and promote inclusive dialogue. Indonesia and Singapore affirmed their agreement to continue supporting peaceful engagement in Myanmar, promoting regional stability and humanitarian efforts. (Source)
Comment:
Since the outbreak of the war on Gaza in 2023, the Indonesian government has treated the Palestinian issue as mere political rhetoric, without any real and tangible action. Indeed, trade relations between Indonesia and the Jewish entity have continued uninterrupted.
This position is similar to the reactions of a number of Arab Muslim rulers who pretend to care about the Palestinian issue and issue public condemnations against Zionist practices, but do not take any serious steps to stop the massacres against their Muslim brothers in Palestine.
What is even more regrettable is that these rulers have shown an increasing rapprochement with the United States, where they warmly welcomed US President Trump in May 2025, and announced promises of huge investments. This is a matter of great concern, because the United States is the main supporter of the Jewish entity, and is keen to provide it with weapons that are used to slaughter civilians in Gaza.
When Iran was attacked by the Jewish entity, the neighboring Islamic countries remained in the position of spectators. Some of them, in some cases, even participated in efforts to intercept Iranian missiles in cooperation with Zionist and American forces.
The Iranian response was supposed to be a spark to stimulate broader Islamic solidarity to weaken the Jewish entity's alliance with America. But, unfortunately, this opportunity was lost because of these governments' blindness to the truth.
Until the secular political face of the Islamic countries changes towards a true Islamic approach, there will be little hope of taking actual steps to defend the Palestinian people or to protect Muslims around the world.
