From Tariq Ayoub to Anas Al-Sharif and his companions
News:
Shortly before midnight on Sunday-Monday, five of Al Jazeera's knights in the Gaza Strip passed away, after the occupation targeted them in a treacherous bombing, stopping their pulse and extinguishing their lenses, but it did not erase their trace or their voice from the memory of Gaza.
Anas Al-Sharif, Muhammad Quraiqa, Ibrahim Daher, Moamen Al-Aliewa, and Muhammad Nofal, 5 faces who were working to convey the voice of Gaza to the world, and expose the crimes of the occupation, have today become titles of loss and pain, and icons of sacrifice for the sake of the free word. Comment:
In 2003, America killed Al Jazeera correspondent Tariq Ayoub at the height of its war on Iraq, and he was not the last journalist it killed in Iraq or elsewhere, and likewise, the entity of Jews has been killing correspondents and journalists for decades and culminated it by killing more than 230 journalists since the seventh of October 2023 until yesterday. This time, the entity explicitly admitted to killing Anas Al-Sharif and his companions without shame or embarrassment. How can they be deterred when they kill and starve the people of Gaza morning and evening for nearly two years without being deterred by a nation of two billion as long as it is ruled by cowardly rulers who are loyal to the disbelieving colonizer, but rather conspiring and supporting the entity of Jews?! So what if another journalist is killed? Their unspoken words say, we have gotten rid of another voice that exposes us by conveying the suffering of wounded Gaza.
Al-Sharif, may God have mercy on him, says in his last will: "I lived the pain in all its details, and I tasted the pain and loss repeatedly, and despite that, I never hesitated to convey the truth as it is, without falsification or distortion...".
There is no doubt that the profession of a journalist is a profession of great impact in conveying the facts on the ground, and clarifying the facts to people in picture, sound or text.
The Muslim journalist is supposed to be principled and biased towards the truth and right, not flattering, compromising, or hypocritical. He does not obliterate facts or hide events, but rather is biased towards the principle of Islam in his work, aware of his role and mission.
In today's world, the truth has become difficult to obtain, and lying, hypocrisy and deceit have become the order of the day in the media in general, while falsely claiming neutrality. You can hardly find a media outlet that is not subject to a complex system that aims to hide the facts and manipulate people's minds, and subordination, those who work in those media outlets are required to follow its policies and work to achieve its goals, and it is rare to find anyone who deviates from that context.
The time has come for every journalist and media professional to realize that he will meet his Lord, so either he will be biased towards the nation and adopt its causes, or he will be a docile tool in the hands of the system of lies, hypocrisy and deceit that distorts and obscures the truth, or highlight trivial issues to cover up great issues and events.
May God have mercy on Anas and his companions, and may God have mercy on those who preceded them, and may God have mercy on our people in Gaza, who have been targeted by the dregs of society and assisted by Ruwaibidah rulers and media affiliated with them who practice lying.
