Haste, Haste, Then Salvation, Salvation
Humaid Khadim Al-Hasan said: We entered upon Al-Hasan in some of his illnesses to visit him, and he said, "Welcome and greetings to you, may God greet you with peace, and grant us and you a home of residence."
We said, "Advise us, may God have mercy on you, for we hope to benefit from what we hear from you."
He said: Your outward appearance is good if you are truthful, patient, and pious. O my brothers, do not let your share of goodness be hearing it with one ear and letting it out from the other, for whoever saw Muhammad, peace be upon him, saw him going and coming, not laying one brick upon another, nor one reed upon another, but rather the banner of guidance was raised for him, so he hastened towards it. Congratulations to whoever followed his path and followed his footsteps. Haste, haste, then salvation, salvation. What are you rejoicing about and not grieving? You have been approached, by the Lord of the Kaaba, as if, by God, you and the matter have come together, and the happy one is the one who is prepared for it.
