Whoever Achieves Servitude Views His Actions with the Eye of Hypocrisy
Ibn al-Qayyim says: "May Allah reward Sheikh Abu Madyan, where he says: "Whoever achieves servitude views his actions with the eye of hypocrisy, his states with the eye of pretense, and his words with the eye of fabrication. The greater the demand in your heart, the smaller you become to yourself, and the less valuable what you spend to obtain it becomes. And whenever you witness the reality of Lordship and the reality of servitude, and know Allah and know yourself, it will become clear to you that what you have of merchandise is not fit for the True King, and even if you came with the work of the two weights, you would fear its consequences, but He only accepts it by His generosity, bounty, and grace, and He also rewards you for it by His generosity, bounty, and grace."
