ابن آدم إنما أنت ضيف
كان الحسن البصري رحمه الله يقول: ابن آدم إنما أنت ضيف، والضيف مرتحل، ومستعار، والعارية لله، لله در أقوام نظروا بعين الحقيقة، وقدموا إلى دار المستقر.
وكان يقول: ما مر يوم على ابن آدم إلا قال له: ابن آدم إني يوم جديد، وعلى ما تعمل فيَّ شهيد، إذا ذهبت عنك لم أرجع إليك، فقدم ما شئت تجده بين يديك، وأخر ما شئت فلن يعود أبدا إليك.

Among the beneficial things is resolving tasks immediately and freeing up time in the future, because if tasks are not resolved, the remaining previous tasks will accumulate on you, and subsequent tasks will be added to them, making their burden heavier. If you resolve everything in its time, you will approach future matters with strength of thought and strength of action.
