The Virtue of Learning and Reciting the Quran
On the authority of Uthman bin Affan, may God be pleased with him, that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: "The best of you are those who learn the Quran and teach it." Narrated by Al-Bukhari.
On the authority of Abdullah bin Masoud, may God be pleased with him, who said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: "Whoever reads a letter from the Book of God, he will have a reward for it, and the reward is multiplied tenfold. I do not say that Alif Lam Mim is a letter, but Alif is a letter, Lam is a letter, and Mim is a letter." A Sahih Hadith narrated by Al-Tirmidhi.
On the authority of Abi Umama Al-Bahili, may God be pleased with him, that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: "Read the Quran, for it will come as an intercessor for its companions on the Day of Resurrection." Narrated by Muslim.
Abu Dawood and Al-Tirmidhi narrated in the Sahih Hadith that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: "It will be said to the companion of the Quran: Read, ascend, and recite as you used to recite in the world, for your position is at the last verse you read."
May God bless our Prophet Muhammad, and all his family and companions.
Peace, mercy, and blessings of God be upon you.
