من قرب الموت من قلبه استكثر ما في يديه
قال عمر بن عبد العزيز رحمه الله: «من قرب الموت من قلبه استكثر ما في يديه»
وقال رحمه الله: لقد نغص هذا الموت على أهل الدنيا ما هم فيه من غضارة الدنيا وزهوتها، فبينا هم كذلك وعلى ذلك أتاهم جاد من الموت، فاخترمهم مما هم فيه، فالويل والحسرة هنالك لمن لم يحذر الموت ويذكره في الرخاء، فيقدم لنفسه خيرا يجده بعدما فارق الدنيا وأهلها، قال: ثم بكى عمر حتى غلبه البكاء فقام".

Among the beneficial things is resolving tasks immediately and freeing up time in the future, because if tasks are not resolved, the remaining previous tasks will accumulate on you, and subsequent tasks will be added to them, making their burden heavier. If you resolve everything in its time, you will approach future matters with strength of thought and strength of action.
