Kashmiri Women Have Been Subjected to Rape and Torture by the Indian Occupation Since 1947

During the 60th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council this year, an international forum for non-governmental organizations on women's economic, social and cultural rights was held, organized by the OCAPROCE International Organization under the slogan "Women for Promoting and Protecting Cultural Heritage and Building Sustainable Peace by 2030". Dr. Shugfta, the representative of Kashmir, highlighted the plight of Kashmiri women at the hands of the occupying Indian terrorist military forces. She said: "I stand before you today with a voice that carries the pain of countless silent women in the Indian-occupied valley of Jammu and Kashmir. Their cries have been drowned out by the sounds of bullets, and their dignity has been torn apart by an occupation that uses not only bullets, but also their bodies, as weapons of war." She called on the international system to take action to end sexual violence against Kashmiri women, and to hold its perpetrators accountable.

Various human rights organizations have visited Kashmir to document cases of violence and rape against civilians, and what they reported was shockingly atrocious. The Indian Army, the Central Reserve Police Force, and the Border Security Forces are all involved in sexual violence against Muslim women in Kashmir, with the aim of humiliating and punishing them, as well as a means of forcing Muslim men accused of extremism to surrender themselves. Women are also subjected to extrajudicial killings, where they are deliberately blinded, and their homes, businesses and entire villages are burned under the pretext of combating terrorism. In addition, the Indian propaganda machine portrays Kashmiri Muslim women as beautiful creatures waiting for Hindu men to marry them and make them Indian. All of these actions are carefully planned schemes by the Indian government as a means to expand the scope of the Hindutva colonial-settler state agenda in Kashmir by isolating and terrorizing the indigenous Muslim population.

Kashmir is another occupied Islamic land, which was governed by the law of God Almighty, and described as the "Paradise on Earth." But since the British entered India in 1608, and their direct rule over the Indian subcontinent after nearly 150 years, it has become a land of famine, poverty, insecurity and division. This miserable colonial rule was replaced by a Western-engineered government under the guise of independence in 1947, and it was occupied by the Hindutva state, just as the Jews occupy blessed Palestine, and it became unbearable for Muslims.

However, in 2025, after witnessing the empty rhetoric of international institutions regarding the genocide committed by Jews in Gaza, many are still looking to those same institutions, such as the United Nations, which was established to ensure American hegemony, and which allowed the occupiers to control our countries and maintain them in the first place, to solve the problem of violence and rape in Kashmir! After decades of watching the world as Kashmiri women are humiliated, isolated and coerced, we can certainly see that these international institutions as well as Western governments will never put an end to the violation of the dignity of our sisters. Rather, the establishment of a state that governs by Islam alone, and therefore recognizes the great importance that God Almighty attaches to protecting the honor and well-being of Muslim women, is the only thing that will put an end to the abuse of our sisters in Kashmir, Palestine, East Turkestan, and elsewhere. This state is the Caliphate on the method of Prophethood, which will mobilize its army to defend the honor of our sisters wherever they are, just as Caliph Al-Walid bin Abd al-Malik sent the great Muslim leader Muhammad bin Qasim at the head of a massive army to rescue some Muslim women who had been captured and imprisoned by the unjust Hindu king, Raja Dahir, even though the capital of the Caliphate was Damascus at that time. Therefore, we must direct our efforts and attention to establishing the Caliphate as quickly as possible. God Almighty says: ﴿Follow what has been sent down to you from your Lord and do not take any allies besides Him. Little do you remember.﴾.
