The Uyghur Muslim Issue Was Not Raised This Time Either!

On June 17, 2025, the second summit between Central Asia and China was held in Astana.

We would like to draw attention to an important issue that was not raised by either side, except for a number of agreements that were signed at this summit, official statements, and handshakes, etc., which were ignored by the media. Yes, no one raised this issue and no one uttered a single word. In dealing with China, this issue should have been the top priority and everything else should have been considered secondary. This is what the pure Islamic view should be. And you may wonder what this issue is?
It is the issue of East Turkestan. It is a matter of confronting the brutal oppression of Uyghur Muslims by the atheist Chinese regime.
Yes, the brutal massacres committed by the entity of the accursed Jews in the West Bank and Gaza have pushed all other issues aside. And surely this is the most painful point for every Muslim at this time, yet the pain and cries of Uyghur Muslims should not be pushed aside at this summit, just as the betrayal of the Central Asian regimes, who are drooling over China's dirty money, should not be overlooked and cannot be ignored. In fact, these regimes claim that they are cooperating with major powers for the benefit of their Muslim peoples. If this were indeed the case, why did they not put all the issues aside and raise the issue of Uyghur Muslims as a major issue?! This issue should have been of concern to the presidents who pretend to be leaders of the Muslims in the region. If the joys and sorrows of Muslims are one, then what cooperation can we talk about with this accursed Chinese regime that treats our Uyghur brothers inhumanely! So how can you laugh with him, embrace him, and be an eternal friend and a good neighbor?! Isn't this the ugliest form of betrayal and cowardice?! China is neither a friend nor a good neighbor to us, because it occupies East Turkestan and practices oppression and brutal violence against its Muslim people, and this is only because they are Muslims. Allah Almighty says: ﴿And they resented them not except that they believed in Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy﴾, so how can the filthy China be a good neighbor and friend to us? Allah Almighty also says: ﴿Hatred has already appeared from their mouths, and what their breasts conceal is greater.﴾
To befriend China when its hostility towards Muslims is clear is nothing but a major betrayal. And if Muslims are abandoned for China's dirty money, then this is an even greater sin! Allah Almighty says: ﴿The believers are but brothers﴾, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ says: «The Muslim is the brother of the Muslim; he does not wrong him, nor does he hand him over to his enemies».
It is an unforgivable crime that the Central Asian regimes trade with Uyghur Muslims shamelessly while the commands of Allah Almighty are clear and obvious! The Muslim peoples in the region, especially the Muslims of Uzbekistan who deserve to be leaders, must beware of participating in the crimes of these regimes, especially in the crimes of the Uzbek regime, as watching and being silent is also participation in the crime.
We say to our Muslim people: Never forget the issue of Uyghur Muslims when these cowardly regimes hide it, but exert strong pressure on the government to raise this issue by making it a priority in dealing with China! At least demand that the Uzbek regime freeze all projects and relations with China until it stops oppressing Uyghur Muslims and feels that the Muslims of Western Turkestan are with them and do not leave them alone! Of course, this is only a temporary solution until the establishment of the Caliphate, which will liberate East Turkestan from Chinese occupation and guarantee true freedom and protection.
