Tom Barrack warns Lebanon against returning to its origin as part of the Levant!

Implicit American acknowledgement that the project of uniting the Ummah by establishing the Caliphate is the only real competitor to the American project in the region

On 07/12/2025, through his interview with Arab News, the US Special Envoy to the Middle East, Tom Barrack, launched a new series of statements that expose the American project in the region, and confirm the depth of the dilemma that the American administration is going through in the difficulty of implementing its project for a "New Middle East"... Barrack revealed that the United States facilitated secret talks between Lebanon and the usurping Jewish entity "The United States facilitated behind-the-scenes talks between Lebanon (and Israel)... Things are moving at an accelerated pace!", and similarly, and even faster, between the new regime in Syria and the Jews "I noticed that Syria is moving at lightning speed to seize the historic opportunity provided by the lifting of sanctions... Investments from Turkey and the Gulf, and diplomatic communication with neighboring countries!" and that if Lebanon does not move towards the American solution, it will return to the Levant!, waving the paper of borders and political affiliation, and warning of a new fate for Lebanon if it does not follow the path of normalization and surrender "Trump was brave in giving Syria a chance, and what has happened since the intervention of the West and Sykes-Picot has not been good..."! and "If Lebanon does not move, it will return to the Levant"! As for America's allies from the minorities, for whom conferences were held in the recent past, and they were promised statelets here and there, it is now turning against them and telling them through its own envoy: "He affirmed the American position rejecting federalism in Syria, stressing that the country must remain united, with one army and one government", continuing: "There will not be six countries, there will be one Syria, ruling out the possibility of establishing independent Kurdish, Alawi, or Druze entities", and "The American envoy clarified that the United States does not dictate conditions, but it will not support separatist results: "We will not stay there forever as a babysitter"!. In a diplomatic message with a political crudeness that does not value promises or covenants, he began to boast of (pardoning and forgiving) organizations that were recently classified as (terrorist), so he lifted this classification from Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, and opened the doors of settlement to Iran's party on its heavy weapons despite remaining on the (terrorism) list! Rather, he turned his back on "QSD" which served him for years, giving it the choice between submission and replacement, saying: "We are not indebted to them with the right to establish an independent government within the state... Yes, we are indebted to you with the duty to treat you reasonably... If you are not reasonable, then another alternative comes to the agenda!" This is the logic of American politics: the job in exchange for survival, and surrender in exchange for American satisfaction!... And this is America that has no covenant or integrity.

O Muslims in Lebanon in particular and the Levant in general: We know that America does not care about the fate of Lebanon or Syria, and only sees the peoples of the region as tools and vehicles for its deals and alliances, but it is only interested in integrating the Jewish entity into the fabric of the region, and normalizing its existence as a (natural partner), while it is working to fragment what remains of the bonds of the Ummah, and stealing its wealth, especially in light of the international race for gas and strategic minerals, and its economic conflict with China... And what Barrack said about Lebanon's return to the Levant is not a slip of the tongue, but a statement with a strategic dimension, which reveals that America is afraid of the Ummah returning to its origin, to its unity, and to its Islamic political project. It is a statement that carries within it a threat and an acknowledgement at the same time; a threat to those who reject the American solution of normalization and surrender to be returned to its origin! And an acknowledgement that this origin - the unity of the Levant, but the Islamic Ummah - is still alive in the consciousness, rooted in the land, and present in the souls, despite all the years of obscuring and attempts to obliterate the true identity of this country, and this indicates that the Ummah still possesses within it the spark of the Islamic renaissance, and that the Caliphate project expressing the unity of the Ummah and not only the Levant, which America and the Jews are fighting, is still the greatest threat to its hegemony and interests in the region. And that this threat is used by Barrack and his administrations as a scarecrow to make (minorities) fear for their fate from this alternative, and thus fall into the arms of the American project, even pushing them to consider it their project.

We in Hizb ut-Tahrir in Wilayah Lebanon cannot but consider ourselves the first concerned with such statements and respond to them with all reassurance:

-    The real arena of conflict in the region is a civilizational conflict between the Islamic Ummah and the disbelieving secular West, and it is a conflict of values and civilizational concepts, and the West has not hesitated for a moment to plot against this Ummah and oppress it, and its colonization of it began with the demolition of the Caliphate, followed by division and fragmentation. We declare that the end of this colonialism and its demise in our region will only be with the establishment of the Rightly Guided Caliphate that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prophesied that it will be after this oppressive rule that we are living in its end today, God Almighty willing.

-    These statements, despite the threat and arrogance they carry, reflect one truth, which is that the Islamic project that seeks the unity of the Ummah, which is expressed by establishing the Caliphate on the method of Prophethood, is what has become worrying the decision-making circles in Washington and redrawing the calculations of hegemony and influence in the region, and with the Jews as well, who clearly expressed through Netanyahu their fears of establishing the Caliphate on the shores of the Mediterranean, and even expressed their willingness to strike it wherever it is established.

-    The game of (minorities) that the West is playing today, and which it played against the Islamic State before to destroy it, is only directed at non-Muslims whom Muslims consider to be subjects of the Islamic State, (they have the same rights as Muslims of fairness, and they have the same obligations as them of redress), and these people lived before and did not suffer any injustice, and many of them have recorded statements in praise of the Islamic rule for them... If we look at what Tom Barrack stated, threatening "QSD" and others whom he considers (minorities), that if they do not proceed according to what he calls them to, then its consequences will be dire for them, we see that he exposes his state that it uses these people for its interests and not for their interests as it claims!... And we see the vast difference between the treatment of Islam and Muslims with these people and the treatment of America and the West with them, and history is the greatest witness and the greatest exposer.

O Muslims, the Islamic project represented by the unity of the Ummah, that is, the Caliphate on the method of Prophethood, is not a scarecrow as America and its envoys try to portray it, but rather it is a project of a dignified life, honor, and justice, and Barrack revealed - whether he knew or not - that this political Islamic project; the Caliphate on the method of Prophethood, is the only real competitor to the American project, and that the real fear in Washington and with the Jews is of the return of the Caliphate that unites the Ummah and ends dependence.

O Muslims, we in Hizb ut-Tahrir/Wilayah Lebanon, call on you to be the ones who shape your future with your own hands, not with the hands of the West, nor through conspiratorial conferences, nor through the threats and statements of ambassadors and envoys; be as God wanted you to be, one Ummah, neither eastern nor western, leading and not being led, and ruling with Islam, not with Sykes-Picot regimes, returning Lebanon to its origin anew with your own hands, part of the Levant, but rather the lands of the Muslims, so you will be the middle Ummah that God Almighty described you with ﴿AND THUS WE HAVE MADE YOU A JUST COMMUNITY THAT YOU WILL BE WITNESSES OVER THE PEOPLE AND THE MESSENGER WILL BE A WITNESS OVER YOU﴾.
