Trump Profits from the War Despite Human Sacrifices

News:
On July 14, the Russian News Service (BBC News) reported that US President Donald Trump urged Moscow to resolve the conflict in Ukraine within 50 days, threatening to impose very high tariffs on its trading partners. In addition, the United States and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) agreed to supply Kyiv with a massive amount of military equipment.
Trump said, "We will impose very high tariffs if we do not reach an agreement within 50 days, with a tariff rate of about 100%," adding that these would be "secondary tariffs" targeting Russia's trading partners.
He added that Ukraine would be provided with billions of dollars worth of military equipment: Washington would produce "high-quality weapons" and send them to NATO, and then NATO would send them "where needed."
Comment:
Trump's threats to Russia to impose secondary tariffs and his promises to supply Ukraine with weapons seem like a well-thought-out plan. It is true that he is not satisfied with the continuation of the military conflict in Ukraine, but in the end, the United States is the biggest beneficiary.
Assuming that America's plans were aimed at renewing NATO's role in Europe, we see that since the beginning of the conflict in Ukraine, NATO's importance has been established, and two more countries have joined it. European politicians are not calmed by the idea that Russia is preparing to attack one of the European Union countries. The European Union is arming itself and buying weapons from America. Throughout the war, we notice that America is supplying its arms with weapons in abundant quantities and under conditions, which enables it to control its course remotely.
Trump claims that the European Union will bear all the costs of the war, and that it has increased its contributions to NATO from 2% to 5% of the country's GDP. The latest arms supplies will be sent to Ukraine via NATO, at the expense of Europe, to America's coffers, meaning it is on its way to making money from this war.
If we assume that the United States' plan was to cut off Russian energy supplies to Europe and sell oil and gas to Europe itself, it has also succeeded in this. Europe has already reduced its purchases of Russian oil and gas, if not by 100%, but by a large margin. According to Eurostat, the EU ban on imports of Russian crude oil by sea came into effect on December 5, 2022, followed by a ban on petroleum products as of February 5, 2023. In the first quarter of 2025, America (15.0%), Norway (13.5%) and Kazakhstan (12.7%) were the largest suppliers of oil to the European Union, while America was also the first to supply the European Union with liquefied natural gas (50.7%).
War and spending on weapons weakens the European Union, which is also one of America's plans. After unilaterally committing to resolving the Ukrainian conflict without the participation of the European Union, European politicians were deeply shocked. In response, and with its usual cunning and guile, Britain began to thwart America's plans by disrupting agreements between it and Russia. Britain seeks to dismantle Russia and help Ukraine in every possible way, even in stark contradiction to America's interests. But this serves America's interests, as the resources of the European Union, Ukraine, and Russia are drained, while it stands aside and waits, wasting nothing but time and making money from arms sales.
Western powers, such as America, Britain, and France, are openly indifferent to the fate of the Ukrainian people. They are fighting among themselves for the right to own Ukraine's natural resources. This is why the war is prolonged, and there will be heavy human losses. Human life has no value in the capitalist system, whose philosophy is based on pragmatism, where actions are viewed from the perspective of utility and profit. As long as there is a benefit for these countries in this war, it will be prolonged.
