Reminder to Muslims of the Sanctity of a Muslim: His Blood, His Wealth, and His Honor

The media has been reporting on the horrific crimes that have occurred in the Sudanese city of Al-Fashir, including murder, rape, and displacement, leading to the exodus of thousands of families.

The question that arises is: how can it be easy for a Muslim who testifies that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah and believes in the Last Day; how can the blood, wealth, and honor of his Muslim brother be easy for him to violate?! How can it be easy for him to terrorize him; and the Messenger ﷺ says: "IT IS NOT LAWFUL FOR A MUSLIM TO TERRORIZE A MUSLIM"?!

Something similar has happened before in a number of Muslim countries such as Syria, Egypt, Yemen, Libya, Iraq and others. Have Muslims forgotten the sanctity of each other's blood?!

It is necessarily known in the religion that the killing of a Muslim intentionally is forbidden according to the definitive text of the Qur'an, as the Almighty says: ﴿AND WHOEVER KILLS A BELIEVER INTENTIONALLY, HIS RECOMPENSE IS HELL TO ABIDE THEREIN, AND THE WRATH OF ALLAH IS UPON HIM, AND HE HAS CURSED HIM AND PREPARED FOR HIM A GREAT PUNISHMENT﴾ Is there a more severe aggravation than this in the punishment of the intentional killer? And the Messenger ﷺ says: "EVERY MUSLIM IS SACRED TO ANOTHER MUSLIM; HIS BLOOD, HIS WEALTH, AND HIS HONOR", and among the last things the Messenger of Allah ﷺ enjoined in the Farewell Sermon was the prohibition of a Muslim harming another Muslim's blood, wealth, and honor, and the legal texts are abundant in the obligation to preserve the sanctity of a Muslim, and the Sharia has severely aggravated the right of whoever violates anything of these sanctities.

What is wrong with you, O Muslims? Is it conceivable that a Muslim would violate the sanctities of his Muslim brothers just because he owns a weapon? Can the colonizing infidels so easily control some Muslims, supply them with power and weapons, and make them violate the sanctities of their Muslim brothers? How can a policeman or soldier in the Muslim armies raise a weapon in the face of peaceful residents? Does he think that it will benefit him before Allah Almighty to say that he is an obedient servant?

O Muslims:

You must realize the seriousness of this matter and its magnitude before Allah Almighty, for the killer of a Muslim deserves the wrath of Allah, deserves His curse and expulsion from His mercy, and deserves eternity in Hell. As the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "A SERVANT REMAINS WITHIN THE SCOPE OF HIS RELIGION AS LONG AS HE DOES NOT SHED UNLAWFUL BLOOD", so whatever sins he commits other than intentional killing, he is within the scope of his religion, but by intentional killing, he loses this scope, loses success, and is afflicted with the wrath of Allah Almighty, and no excuse will benefit him, even if his Muslim brother confronts him with weapons. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ says: "WHEN TWO MUSLIMS MEET WITH THEIR SWORDS, BOTH THE KILLER AND THE KILLED ARE IN HELL." IT WAS SAID: "THIS IS THE KILLER, BUT WHAT ABOUT THE KILLED?" HE SAID: "HE WAS EAGER TO KILL HIS COMPANION." And if someone asks what he should do in this situation, then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ answers this question, that is, when tribulations occur. Abu Musa al-Ash'ari reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "INDEED, BEFORE THE HOUR THERE WILL BE TRIBULATIONS LIKE PIECES OF DARK NIGHT, IN WHICH A MAN WILL BE A BELIEVER IN THE MORNING AND AN INFIDEL IN THE EVENING, AND AN INFIDEL IN THE MORNING AND A BELIEVER IN THE EVENING. THE ONE WHO SITS IN IT IS BETTER THAN THE ONE WHO STANDS, AND THE ONE WHO WALKS IN IT IS BETTER THAN THE ONE WHO HURRIES. SO BREAK YOUR BOWS, CUT YOUR STRINGS, AND STRIKE YOUR SWORDS AGAINST THE ROCKS, AND IF SOMEONE ENTERS UPON ANY OF YOU, THEN LET HIM BE LIKE THE BETTER OF THE TWO SONS OF ADAM."

To every Muslim, to every officer, soldier, and policeman, to everyone who owns a weapon:

Allah Almighty has granted us reason to think with, and has obligated us to use it correctly, so one should not act, perform any action, or utter any word before knowing its legal ruling, and knowing the legal ruling requires understanding the reality to which the legal ruling is to be applied, so a Muslim must have political awareness, so that he perceives things as they really are, and does not follow the plans of the colonizing infidels who do not want good for us or for Islam, and strive hard with all their strength, cunning, and intelligence to tear us apart, control our countries, and plunder our capabilities and wealth. So how can a Muslim accept to be a tool in the hands of those colonizing infidels, or an executor of the orders of their agents?! Does he covet a small amount of the fleeting pleasures of this world, and then lose his Hereafter and be among the people of the Fire, abiding therein forever, cursed and expelled from the mercy of Allah? Does a Muslim accept to please any of the created, incapable humans while angering Allah Almighty, who holds the world and the Hereafter in His hands?! Read the words of Allah Almighty and determine your position: ﴿AND WE HAVE CERTAINLY CREATED FOR HELL MANY OF THE JINN AND MANKIND; THEY HAVE HEARTS WITH WHICH THEY DO NOT UNDERSTAND, AND THEY HAVE EYES WITH WHICH THEY DO NOT SEE, AND THEY HAVE EARS WITH WHICH THEY DO NOT HEAR. THOSE ARE LIKE LIVESTOCK; RATHER, THEY ARE MORE MISGUIDED. IT IS THEY WHO ARE THE HEEDLESS﴾ Are you pleased to be like livestock, or even more misguided than them? So you do not benefit from your eyes, your ears, or your minds, and you are among the people of the Fire?!

O Muslims:

Hizb ut-Tahrir warns every Muslim against harming a Muslim in any way: with his blood, his wealth, or his honor, and it frightens you with the wrath of Allah Almighty and His severe punishment, and by Allah, the matter is serious and not a joke, so do not be among the heedless who do not pay attention until death, and at the time of regret, and when faith does not benefit a soul that did not believe before or earn good through its faith, and do not be deceived by the little pleasures of this world, for it will inevitably vanish, and death is closer to one of you than the strap of his sandal, so let none of you allow himself to take anything from his brother unjustly. Hizb ut-Tahrir calls you to raise the level of political awareness, adhere to the rulings of Allah Almighty, and work with it to rule by what Allah has revealed, so that it may remove the hands of the colonizing infidels and their agents from you, and thwart their plans in our countries.

﴿O YOU WHO HAVE BELIEVED, RESPOND TO ALLAH AND TO THE MESSENGER WHEN HE CALLS YOU TO THAT WHICH GIVES YOU LIFE. AND KNOW THAT ALLAH INTERVENES BETWEEN A MAN AND HIS HEART AND THAT TO HIM YOU WILL BE GATHERED. AND FEAR A TRIAL WHICH WILL NOT STRIKE THOSE WHO HAVE WRONGED AMONG YOU EXCLUSIVELY, AND KNOW THAT ALLAH IS SEVERE IN PENALTY.﴾
