Mourning the Carrier of Dawah
Teacher Yousef Dhiab Al-Shalabi (Abu Diaa)
﴿Among the believers are men true to what they promised Allah. Among them is he who has fulfilled his vow [to the death],
and among them is he who awaits [his chance]. And they did not alter [their commitment] in the least.﴾
With faith in God's will and in anticipation of reward, the Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir / Jordan Province mourns the carrier of the Dawah within its ranks: Teacher Yousef Dhiab Al-Shalabi (Abu Diaa), who passed away on Thursday, the first of Muharram 1447 AH, corresponding to 2025/06/26 AD, at the age of eighty-nine years, after a long illness that he endured for the sake of God.
Abu Diaa spent his life striving, speaking the truth, and actively interacting in all occasions that called for boldness in carrying the Dawah in his eloquent Arabic, which he excelled in and taught, diligently following the affairs of the Islamic Ummah, fearing no blame in the cause of God.
His determination did not waver despite the persecutions, arrests, and harassment he was subjected to, and his illness, which only confined him in the last years of his life. May God have mercy on our deceased with His vast mercy and grant him spacious gardens, and may God grant his family and relatives great reward and inspire them with patience and solace. We say only what pleases God Almighty; to God belongs what He gives and to Him belongs what He takes, and everything with Him is by measure.
﴿Indeed, to Allah we belong, and to Him we shall return.﴾
