Women Must Realize the Illusion of Diversity and Inclusion in Liberal Politics
(Translated)
News:
Al-Islam Channel discussed a new report revealing patterns of Islamophobia and professional exclusion affecting Muslim women in the media. This impact extended to issues of mental health and trust in institutions. The report discussed how the vision of Muslim female journalists is particularly affected by microaggressions, stereotypes, and wage disparities.
The Media Monitoring Center, which originally published the report, reveals the spread of Islamophobia, toxic newsroom cultures, and mental health effects, especially after media coverage of the Jews' war on Gaza.
The media coverage of the genocide was a turning point for many professionals who are considering their professional future in this field, and one of the quotes presents a perspective on the problem here.
Muslim women working in the British media are neither absent nor passive. They are the focus of media discourse, even as institutions seek to marginalize, exclude, or exploit their presence. The findings indicate that although seniority grants some influence, institutional constraints often force Muslim women to adhere to dominant, often anti-Islamic, editorial agendas.
Comment:
It is widely understood by global media institutions that Western structures of freedom or expression and diversity provide a safe haven for women from all demographics.
We have seen how prominent media figures flee their oppressive regimes and establish themselves in democratic institutions, claiming that their Islamic environments need to become more liberal.
This report provides clear evidence that the belief in freedom of expression and representation is completely unfounded and must be rejected. We can see how the same repressive measures that women flee from are heavily present in countries that pride themselves on liberal media references.
The reality is that in none of the Islamic countries is there any representation of how to protect the intellectual skills of Muslim women, because they are all enslaved to the global media's agenda against the truth of Islam.
They severely punish dissent and any attempt to expose the dominant narrative promoted by the puppet masters that Islamic law silences and diminishes women's skills. This is to create the illusion that Western liberal democratic structures are the only option for progress.
The education of women and their abundant contribution to the media climate of the Islamic state is historically documented, a fact that the West tries to hide in their distorted and edited versions of the past. Here are some examples:
• Fatima al-Fihri: She is famous for founding Al-Qarawiyyin University in Fez, Morocco, which is recognized by UNESCO as the oldest existing and continuous educational institution in the world. This university offered a wide range of specializations, including those related to communication and knowledge transfer.
• Zainab bint al-Kamal: This scholar was famous for her expertise in the Hadith, and teaching in prestigious institutions. She was a respected reference, and students traveled from distant places to hear her lectures. Her work highlights the importance of female scholars in preserving and transmitting religious knowledge.
• Umm al-Darda' al-Sughra: Another prominent figure, she was a jurist, Hadith scholar, and ascetic. She was known for her knowledge and wisdom, and taught both men and women alike. Her influence shows the important role women played in religious sciences during that period.
• Other prominent women: Many other women contributed to the intellectual scene at that time. For example, Aisha bint Talha, Umm Salama, and Hafsa bint Sirin were prominent scholars in various fields. These women, along with others, shaped the intellectual and cultural fabric of Islamic societies.
The Holy Quran recognized the right of women to education, and called on men and women in Islam to learn and seek knowledge, and the wife of the Prophet ﷺ, Aisha, may God be pleased with her, was one of the most productive, and she has narrators of hadiths. ﴿Allah will raise those who have believed among you and those who were given knowledge in degrees. And Allah is Aware of what you do﴾.
We must return to the Caliphate system, and represent and protect the intellectual skills of Muslim women so that we never rely on these false measures to secure our rights in the media or social life.
