Britain: WMD and Colonial Foreign Policy (2002)

Hizb ut Tahrir

This file, "Western Weapons of Mass Destruction and Colonial Foreign Policy," meticulously lists the real motives behind the anticipated war against Iraq, through a study of the strategic, economic, and political interests that Western governments are betting on. In addition, this file depicts the history of the contemporary world under the control of the capitalist principle by revealing the West's use of weapons of mass destruction, its support for many tyrannical and despotic rulers hated throughout the world, and the Western countries' disregard for the United Nations and international law. The file presents a damning indictment and exposes a shameful history of Western governments, the capitalist principle, and its colonial view of the world.

مقدمة / Introduction

"The political hacks will go forth and cheapen themselves to the crime, and be pleasant to the public, putting the blame upon the victims, and that will satisfy everybody and make everything serene; and they will study it up and examine it diligently, and presently they will find arguments that will convince them that the war is just, and they will be glad to be persuaded of it--and they will be persuaded of it; and by and by they will be out doing missionary work, and praising war in detail, in the same old way, the same old heartless way, and with the same old blinders on." (Mark Twain) This file is published as the drums of war beat. The American and British war machine is preparing to strike the innocent people of Iraq in a colonial war, replacing its corrupt, Western-inspired regime with another Western-aligned one like the Hamid Karzai regime.

خاتمة / Conclusion

This file, which we present today, highlights, in an intellectual and political manner, two issues: the real motives behind the war against Iraq, and the colonial foreign policy of the West. It clearly shows to every discerning observer that the world we live in today lacks true leadership. Capitalism has failed to unite peoples, improve their material means, and enlighten their minds, and has also neglected their deep pursuit of spiritual and intellectual elevation.
