Healthcare Policy in the Khilafah State

Ata Bin Khalil Abu Al-Rashtah

This book is the result of efforts by some brothers in collecting, verifying, investigating, and consolidating its information and topics... etc. They left us only with the review, verification, and then modification and deletion of some paragraphs until it became radiant with goodness, as is evident throughout this book.

مقدمة / Introduction

We praise Allah that He (taught man what he did not know), and made "for every disease there is a cure, and when the cure reaches the disease, it is cured by the permission of Allah Almighty," narrated by Muslim. Then Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful, completed His favor upon us by mandating that we pledge allegiance to a Caliph Imam who rules us by the law of Allah, so we do not die a death of ignorance, "Whoever dies and does not have an allegiance on his neck dies a death of ignorance," narrated by Muslim, and cares for us as Allah commanded, in our health, well-being, honor, and dignity, "The Imam is a shepherd and is responsible for his flock," narrated by Bukhari, so we are successful in our world and our hereafter, (and that is the great success). In conclusion, I ask Allah Almighty for the fullest reward for all the brothers who made a good effort in this book, and Allah Almighty is truthful: (And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives * And that his effort is going to be seen * Then he will be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense). And finally, we ask you, O Allah, to benefit us with what you have taught us, and to teach us what benefits us, and to increase us in knowledge, and praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds. 27th of Dhu al-Hijjah 1443 AH, corresponding to July 26, 2022 CE

خاتمة / Conclusion

This is how healthcare was under Islam, as it brought humanity to a high level of care and attention to physical and (mental) health, while today we see the magnitude of the health tragedies that have befallen humanity under the capitalist system. The number of people suffering from depression in the world today exceeds 350 million, according to the World Health Organization, and one million of them commit suicide annually, which is equivalent to 3,000 people per day. Not only that, but the numbers of those who are afflicted by diseases and who do not find healthcare or medicine are countless. Therefore, humanity is in dire need of the return of Islam to save it from the misery and injustice of capitalism, and to restore to man once again his physical and (mental) comfort in a system where affairs are cared for with piety and seeking His pleasure. It was completed with the help of Allah on 27 Dhu al-Hijjah 1443 AH - 26/07/2022 CE "Glory to You, O Allah, and with Your praise, I seek forgiveness from You and repent to You," narrated by Ahmad and others.
