مقدمة / Introduction
In Nairobi, Kenya, on Saturday, July 20, 2002, the "Joint Statement and Machakos Protocol" was issued following the conclusion of talks between the delegation of the Sudanese government and the delegation of the army of what was called the Sudanese People's Liberation Movement. The talks lasted thirty-five days, and the sessions were chaired by the Special Envoy for the peace process of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD), with representatives from the United States, Britain, Italy, Norway, and three envoys from sub-committees affiliated with IGAD participating. The American team was headed by Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs Walter Kansteiner and Special Envoy John Danforth, and the British team was headed by Special Representative Alan Fletcher Goulty.خاتمة / Conclusion
There can be no solution to the problems of Muslims as long as client rulers are in charge, for they are allies of the disbelievers against the Ummah. The solution lies in overthrowing these client rulers, demolishing the systems of disbelief by which they rule, and establishing the Rightly Guided Caliphate that establishes the Islamic religion, rules according to what God has revealed, unites the Islamic Ummah, and carries the message of Islam to all people.
