Eighty-eight lean years have passed for the Islamic Ummah since its crown fell, its Caliphate was destroyed, and the disbelieving West occupied its lands... Eighty-eight years in which the disbelieving West imposed the exclusion of Islam from governance after narrowing its scope and withdrawing from it the elements of strength (the political ideology, the comprehensive life system, the Caliphate, Jihad) and changed and altered the religion after reshaping the mentality of Muslims on the basis of its intellectual foundations that are disconnected from God Almighty. It was aided in this by evil scholars of religion who issued fatwas based on its principles, and their fatwas turned out to be misleading and misguiding... Eighty-eight years in which the disbelieving West imposed hybrid secular laws on Muslims and handed over power to caretaker rulers in whom all evil converged, and made them tails to it and moved them in slaughtering the Ummah and plundering its resources, so the Ummah suffered a great calamity from them: killing, imprisonment, torture, exile, displacement, humiliation, impoverishment, ignorance, corruption, and misguidance... Eighty-eight years that marked the beginning of the Ummah's journey of suffering on the path of pain and tears, and the conspiracy against it continues.
