Trump says "bad things" will happen if Afghanistan doesn't return Bagram Air Base. (Reuters)
Comment:
Once again, America reveals its arrogance to the world. Donald Trump's warning that bad things will happen unless Afghanistan hands over Bagram Air Base reflects the same colonial tone that has always characterized its policy towards Islamic countries. Such words are not the language of sovereign states dealing on an equal footing, but rather the dictates of a colonizer who sees Islamic countries as a military point for his ambitions. This is the true nature of Western policy: coercion, threat, and contempt for the sovereignty of our lands.
America's insistence on regaining a base in Afghanistan confirms its dependence on Islamic countries to project its military power. Without such strongholds, America cannot control the region or contain its rivals. Bagram is not about Afghanistan's security, but about American hegemony, and ensuring that Muslims remain divided and subjugated while their lands and resources serve foreign interests.
What is clear is that America, despite its military defeat in Afghanistan, has not suffered a political defeat. For two decades, it has recognized the wealth of Afghanistan but deliberately left it undeveloped, to ensure that the Taliban inherits only ruin. Instead of uniting with the wider Islamic nation to achieve the Islamic duty of establishing the Caliphate, the Taliban has confined itself within colonial borders and sought legitimacy from the very powers that destroyed the country!
Trump's words today confirm this fact: America has never left Afghanistan, but has left behind a weak and restricted state, vulnerable to external manipulation. By acknowledging that Afghanistan "needs what we provide," and emphasizing the strategic importance of Bagram Air Base, Washington shows that its occupation has not ended but has only changed its form. This is the essence of colonial policy: destruction, restrictions, and return whenever interests require it.
It is not just about one air base, but about a global conflict: the nation's yearning for independence versus the West's determination to maintain its control. We must reject these arrogant threats and realize that true liberation will not be achieved through foreign agreements, client regimes, or empty slogans. Rather, it will only be achieved by unity on Islam through the establishment of the Caliphate according to the method of Prophethood, which will protect our countries and decisively eliminate colonial influence.
