News:

Malaysian authorities announced a large-scale search and rescue operation, with the participation of the Navy, Coast Guard, Police, and Civil Defense. After about a week of the operation, the number of survivors stopped at 14, and about 30 drowned people were recovered. The fate of the remaining people in the wrecked boat, or the fate of the mother ship, which is believed to have been carrying about 230 passengers, is unknown.

The Malaysian government blamed organized crime gangs and human traffickers for the disaster. The Malaysian Minister of Interior, Saifuddin Nasution, accused them of exploiting the weak, the poor, and the afflicted for material gain at the expense of the lives of those in distress, by organizing illegal sea voyages that lack the most basic safety measures.

Comment:

For more than thirteen years, the attacks of the hateful Buddhists on Muslims have not stopped, as the criminal regime of Myanmar continues to intensify the persecution and injustice against the Rohingya Muslims. It has imposed harsh policies and terrible restrictions on them, including preventing them from freedom of movement between their villages, and depriving them of the most basic rights such as work, food, education, and health care. For these reasons and harsh conditions, the Rohingya decided to migrate across the seas on dilapidated and crowded boats in a dangerous journey in the hope of finding shelter and a new life in Muslim-majority countries such as Malaysia, Indonesia and Bangladesh.

Boats called the boats of death, which, despite their danger, represent the only refuge for Rohingya Muslims in light of human rights violations and ethnic cleansing operations. And how very shameful it is to see Malaysian forces working to recover the bodies after they were swallowed by the sea and tossed by the waves instead of defending them while they are alive, lifting the injustice from them, and protecting them from the Burmese army!! Where are you from the saying of God Almighty: ﴿BUT IF THEY SEEK HELP FROM YOU IN RELIGION, THEN YOU MUST HELP﴾?! Your betrayal of your brothers while they are being burned and exterminated before your eyes is the shame of this world and the torment of the Hereafter. What will you say to your Lord when He asks you about the Muslim women whose honor is being violated in Myanmar? Will you not rise up to support your oppressed brothers?!

O God, have we delivered the message? O God, bear witness, O God, bear witness.
