Cooperation Behind Falling Thrones
News:
On September 5, 2025, Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a phone conversation with US President Donald Trump, according to a correspondent for Dunyo News Agency. Uzbek Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov wrote on his Telegram channel: In cooperation with my American colleague Marco Rubio, we will ensure the effective implementation of all agreements reached between our heads of state.
Comment:
The Mirziyoyev-Trump conversation showed that America's relations with Uzbekistan are linked to broad geostrategic plans. It has become clear that Washington today views Tashkent as its most important fulcrum in Central Asia.
America's interest in Uzbekistan is primarily related to the geopolitics of resources. Central Asia is a region rich in reserves of uranium, lithium, copper, and other strategic minerals. The United States wants to include these resources in the global supply chain and reduce China's monopolistic influence. In this regard, Uzbekistan has become an important part of America's economic and security structure. Combating terrorism, extremism, and illegal immigration were specifically discussed, as Uzbekistan, which borders Afghanistan, plays an important role in regional security for America. Trump aims to strengthen security mechanisms through the "S5+1" formula, while trying to balance the influence of Russia and China.
America pays special attention to cooperation in the field of education. Branches of leading American universities have been opened in Tashkent, and the activities of American Spaces are expanding. Through this, agents are being raised who defend America's interests by forming a positive image of America in the minds of the young generation.
In general, the United States is making gradual efforts to strengthen its position in Central Asia under the slogans of combating terrorism, ensuring security, and improving trade, economic and cultural relations.
The growing importance of American relations with Uzbekistan is due not only to regional geopolitical changes, but also to global ones. The analytical report "Greater Central Asia Strategy," prepared by experts from the American Foreign Policy Council and the Central Asia-Caucasus Institute in Washington, emphasizes the need for America to develop and implement an effective strategy for Greater Central Asia to enhance its competitive position in this region. This includes Central Asia, the Caucasus, South and East Asia. It also aims to influence Russian-Chinese relations, geopolitical competition in Eurasia, and especially control of strategic resource markets, such as base metals, uranium, oil, and natural gas.
While Washington represents Tashkent as a geopolitical fulcrum in this strategy, given the pivotal role that Central Asia, including Uzbekistan, plays in this process, the Mirziyoyev government seeks to be a major player in it. Trump described Mirziyoyev's reforms as "deep and irreversible," while Mirziyoyev congratulated Trump on his "amazing achievements in domestic and foreign policy."
The exchange of praise between Mirziyoyev and Trump, who have become regional and global leaders in the fight against Islam and Muslims, for their failed policies revealed the path that bilateral relations are taking. This call showed that their foreign policy goals are increasingly moving towards a common goal, meaning that they have become more aligned in promoting Western interests in the region and weakening America's competing powers, especially in the matter of preventing Islam from returning to the arena of life. Will Mirziyoyev and his regime not learn from the words of God Almighty?! God Almighty says: ﴿The example of those who take allies other than Allah is like that of the spider who takes a home. And indeed, the weakest of homes is the home of the spider, if they only knew﴾.
