The Imam is but a Shield
News:
US President Donald Trump made shocking statements in which he announced that he had directed the US Department of War to prepare for any potential military operation in Nigeria, under the pretext of protecting Christians from armed Islamic groups. The US Secretary of War confirmed in a supplementary statement: that America will not stand idly by in the face of what he called Islamic terrorism that threatens Christians, calling on Nigeria to act, either to protect them, or we will intervene directly to eliminate the Islamic terrorists.
Meanwhile, observers considered the American discourse to reflect a clear religious bias under the guise of combating terrorism. These statements sparked a wide wave of criticism and were considered by many to be an embodiment of the West's policy of protecting its followers in the name of humanity, while remaining silent in the face of the violated blood of Muslims in Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Uyghur, Burma, Kashmir, Central Africa, and others. Isn't it time for Muslims to learn from the positions of the West and its leaders?! Here is the head of secularism abandoning his secularism, which he boasts about day and night, and threatening to defend the Christians with his army, for no reason other than their enmity and hatred for Islam and Muslims. While Muslims are being slaughtered in the east and west of the earth, you do not hear a whisper from rulers, leaders, and armies who have sworn to protect them!
This scene shows the blatant contradiction between those who have a state that compels them to support their faith, even if it is false, and to fight against what is other than it, and the Islamic nation, which the disbelieving West and its appointed rulers have divided, who have made it taste humiliation and obvious subordination to the West.
The absence of the Khaleefah who defends Islam and the Muslims is the root of the disease, and the Ummah will not regain its glory until it has someone to lead it with Islam and unite its scattered members under its banner. As for those rulers who are subordinate to the disbelieving West, they are the cause of weakness and loss, and no good can be expected from them for their nation as long as they are walking in the path of their masters.
Thus, the words of Trump and the position of Crusader America are nothing but a mirror of an inverted reality. The lesson to be understood from the statement of Trump and his Department of War is not in their threat, but in their zeal for those they consider to be of their religion, even if they do not approve of it, in contrast to the betrayal of those who are supposed to be the guardians of the Muslims for their nation. That is the difference between a nation that has an Imam who is fought from behind, and a nation that has neglected its Imam and has been lost in the winds of nations. The West is jealous for its religion, and the Muslims have no protector to be jealous for them. Between jealousy and heedlessness, the balance of power remains inclined towards those who have will, unity, and authority. So where is the Mu'tasim who protects the Muslims?! Our Messenger ﷺ said: "The Imam is but a shield, fought from behind and protected by."
This scene reveals the emptiness of the Ummah from a sincere leadership that carries its creed politically, which translates the saying of the Prophet ﷺ: "A Muslim is the brother of a Muslim, he does not wrong him, nor does he fail him, nor does he hand him over." But Muslims today have been left prey to the attraction of the major powers, governed by systems placed to serve the interests of the West, not their interests and religion, and they have disabled the saying of Allah Almighty ﴿And if they seek help of you for the religion, then you must help﴾. So where is the victory for our people in Gaza and all of Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, and the general Muslim countries?! And who is the one who carries the banner of defending the oppressed as Ali and Omar raised it following the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and working on his path.
The absence of the caring state that defends the Muslims and unites their ranks is the deepest wound in the body of the Ummah, and the wound will not heal until the Ummah regains its awareness and dignity, and works with Hizb ut-Tahrir to resume the Islamic way of life in reality by establishing the righteous Khilafah state, rejecting subordination and rising on the basis of its religion and justice, so that it has someone to carry its sword with sincerity, justice, and mercy.
