Money is the primary driver of the state's internal and external policy in the capitalist system. The influx of money into election campaigns is the main driver of the state's policy in this system since its establishment until now, because freedom of ownership is one of the four freedoms upon which the system is based, so it was named after it (the capitalist system) as the most prominent thing in it. It is the engine of the economy, governance, and life, through which the interests of capital owners are realized to develop their resources, and this can only be achieved by dominating the government, through which the affairs of the country are run internally and externally.
Since elections are the means to reach power within the system in the democratic process, the competition between parties has been based on lavish spending of money from parties and their individuals from the owners of capital or supporters of the economic policy of the candidates in order to take over power and achieve the drawn interests that the money was lavished upon.
As for the elections in our country, they are nothing more than a formality, and the reason for this is the subordination of these regimes to major countries and their connection to them, whether through the personality of the ruling party, the president, or the men of the entire political process, implementing the will of the followed state, and all of that is in order to maintain their continuation in power because it is a strategic matter, so they are not allowed to be competed with by any group outside the control of the state or affiliated with another state.
Thus, elections and their results are controlled in favor of and subordinate to the followed countries. In order to gain legitimacy for these elections, they work to involve the largest number of people through attractive means in which money and prestige are essential, relying on the country's funds in their implementation and conduct, which reach large numbers as in our country, Iraq; the expenses of the last campaign reached tens of billions at a time when more than 10 million people live below the poverty line!
All these elections are held so that they can convey to the people that the country enjoys freedom and independence after the dictatorship of the ruling individual has been eliminated.
O Muslims in the lands of Islam: Elections are only a means of choosing and achieving the goal, which is to establish and implement governance. This means is permissible and forbidden according to the goal. If it is permissible, it is permissible, and if it is forbidden, it is forbidden. Since elections are a means of choosing the best to represent the nation in order to legislate rulings and laws, which means the constitution that regulates relations among the people, as well as to elect those who implement this with each other and with the things around them to permit and prohibit, meaning to make lawful and unlawful, and also to elect those who implement this constitution, this electoral process will lead to what is forbidden by making man a legislator besides God, so the elections are forbidden.
Therefore, O Muslims, the Sharia duty calls you to boycott those elections that lead to the rule of disbelief in which obedience is made to humans and their rule is made by their constitution, which is the Taghut that he put in place, which means obedience and submission to other than God and His law. God Almighty said: ﴿They want to be judged by the Taghut, while they were commanded to disbelieve in him. And Satan wants to lead them far astray﴾.
