Only Her Lord's Law Will Do Justice to Women
News:
Arabia Al-Ahmar, a social worker at the Guidance and Orientation Center of the Tunisian National Women's Union, confirmed that despite the passage of 8 years since the issuance of Basic Law No. 58, violence against women is still continuously increasing at an accelerating rate and in various forms, to the point that these practices have escalated to the phenomenon of women being killed, which between January and September of this year, reached 22 murders of Tunisian women at the hands of their husbands or family members. This raises the alarm about the effectiveness of this law and its actual implementation on the ground, according to her, during the presentation of a study on the union's experience in dealing with cancer victims of violence during a meeting entitled "The repercussions of cancer on marital relations." Comment:
A witness from within has testified... A social worker at the Guidance and Orientation Center of the Tunisian National Women's Union has testified that the situation of women has worsened and that they are subjected to violence despite Law 58, which was dated August 11, 2017, and which is considered a gain for women; as it aims to eliminate all forms of violence against women through a comprehensive approach that includes prevention, punishing aggressors, protecting victims, and pledging to them, while focusing on achieving equality and respecting the dignity of women.
This law was enacted under a capitalist secular regime that works to spread its concepts and impose its way of life. Relations under this system, which governs the entire world, are based on interests, benefits, and achieving material profit by all means and methods, without regard for any values. It is unfortunate that the nation has become saturated with many of these concepts after its correct concepts emanating from its true religion have been obliterated, as these positive legislations have worked to instill Western culture, which seeks to eradicate everything that is related to Islam, and consolidate it through imposed education programs and paid media. The girl, with what she has learned of illusory rights and false gains, does not hesitate to stand in the face of her father, brother, or husband and file complaints against them if they stand against what she wants. Also, these do not treat her with the kindness that God Almighty commanded them to do ﴿And live with them in kindness. For if you dislike them - perhaps you dislike a thing and Allah makes therein much good.﴾, and their Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him, advised them to: «I urge you to treat women well». The relationship between women and men is devoid of referring to what came in the Book of God and the Sunnah of His Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him. What the Muslim woman is experiencing today of oppression, injustice and misery is due to the corrupt concepts that took her out of the circle of her Lord's rulings to run after the mirage of freedom, equality and economic empowerment; so she denies her femininity that God created her with, and takes on a role in which she competes with men, which burdened her and exhausted her, and she lives an unhappy life even though she is "freed from the restrictions of men" and became an equal to him! These concepts have also taken the man out of that circle that protects him and prevents him from dominating women and oppressing them, so he abandoned his role of caring for her and his guardianship over her.
The National Women's Union, through listening cells and guidance and orientation centers throughout Tunisia, recorded 466 abused women, thus the highest percentage of violence practiced against women is marital violence, at 81%.
Also, the phenomenon of women being killed reached 22 crimes at the hands of her husband or a family member, as the social worker mentioned, so what are the reasons for this and women in Tunisia are considered a model for the liberated woman who has obtained many gains?! So what is this paradox?!
Someone may ask: On what basis does the marital relationship stand? How does a man view a woman and how does she view him? What are their concepts of marriage? Are these concepts derived from God's law? Isn't the relationship between them based primarily on a purely material life in which they strive to obtain as much as possible of the pleasures and delights of life, except for those on whom my Lord has mercy?
What is the reason for the crisis of confidence that exists today between girls and boys? Isn't it the education they were raised on and the misconceptions they were saturated with in the family and society?
When a young man wants to get married, he strives to have his life partner working in order to help him with the difficult circumstances of life, especially in light of the deteriorating economic situation, but he is not confident that she is able to bear the burdens of the family and children, so you find him not confident in making a good choice. Likewise, the girl who has become suspicious of the sincerity of his choice for her for her own sake and thinks ill of him because he chose her because she will provide him with "another additional money" to help him run his life and perhaps he will rely on her and start exploiting her and stealing from her.
This crisis of confidence was built on the family, so what will be its fate? Either a miserable life, if life continues between them, or divorce, where the highest rates were recorded (The National Institute of Statistics revealed, on Monday, September 29, 2025, an increase in divorce rates in Tunisia during the last two decades, where the percentage of divorced men increased from 0.5% in 2004 to 1.4% in 2024, while the percentage of divorced women increased from 1.5% in 2004 to 2.8% in 2024), or murder and crime, as stated by this specialist.
No wonder women in Tunisia reap the fruits of their following the concepts of Western women and are deceived by their way of life, and no wonder men carry corrupt concepts about their relationship with women, whether they are a daughter or a wife, and no wonder this is the result of their living in the concepts of Western culture and their distance from what is stipulated in the Sharia of God Almighty, which is good for them both equally, so there is no solution or law that can make women happy and do justice to them and men except the law of the Lord of the Worlds. ﴿Then whoever follows My guidance will neither go astray nor suffer.﴾.
