Anas al-Sharif and his colleagues' obituary
(Translated)
On the evening of Sunday, August 10, 2025, a small media tent in front of the Al-Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza City was completely destroyed by a direct bombardment from the Jewish entity, resulting in the martyrdom of five journalists who were documenting the ongoing genocide in Gaza. Among the martyrs were correspondents Anas al-Sharif, and Muhammad Quraiqa, and photographers Ibrahim Zaher, and Moamen Aliwa, and Muhammad Nofal, may God have mercy on them and accept them among the prophets, the truthful, the martyrs, and the righteous, and what good companions they are.
The people of Palestine, and the people of Gaza in particular, continue to face relentless aggression from the Jewish entity and the international powers that protect it, foremost among them America. Their lives, homes, dignity and sanctities have been violated with impunity. Journalists, whose mission is to witness and convey these atrocities to the world, have also been systematically targeted. According to Al Jazeera, the Jewish entity has assassinated about 270 journalists and media workers, in blatant defiance of international law, basic ethics, and even the most basic principles of humanity.
The international system bears direct responsibility for these crimes. Hollow statements of condemnation and symbolic expressions of grief do not absolve governments of the power to act. While hundreds of thousands have demonstrated in cities from Sydney to Tokyo to London, their governments have refused to take serious action against the Jewish entity. Meanwhile, neighboring countries with armies capable of ending these massacres remain silent.
The Gaza massacre is a symbol of abandonment, a term that is insufficient to describe the magnitude of the betrayal. The repeated condemnations issued by the United Nations and the capitals of the world are in fact acts of complicity. These countries continue to provide direct military, political and economic support to the Jewish entity. Only the Rightly Guided Caliphate according to the method of Prophethood, as the Prophet ﷺ foretold, will stop this entity's crimes or hold it accountable: "Then there will be oppressive rule, and it will be as Allah wills it to be. Then He will remove it if He wills. Then there will be a Caliphate according to the method of Prophethood." Narrated by Ahmad.
The Rightly Guided Caliphate is the only political and military framework capable of protecting Gaza and all oppressed Muslim countries. The Ummah must demand the removal of its rulers who prevent their armies from performing their duty. These armies must break away from them, mobilize to support Gaza, and give support to those who work sincerely to establish the Caliphate, i.e. Hizb ut-Tahrir.
This duty removes the concern from the heart of every Muslim who wants to support the Muslims and defend their holy places. This is the decisive path.
﴿O you who have believed, respond to Allah and to the Messenger when he calls you to that which gives you life. And know that Allah comes between a man and his heart and that to Him you will be gathered.﴾
