A Call from the Media Office of Hizb ut-Tahrir in Uzbekistan

Regarding the Arrest of Abdulaziz Abduljalilov

On 10/30/2025, Hizb ut-Tahrir member Abdulaziz Abduljalilov, who is from Uzbekistan, was arrested at the Migration Office in Stockholm.

To our knowledge, the Immigration Department has decided to deport Brother Abdulaziz to Uzbekistan.

In this regard, we would like to draw the attention of the Swedish Migration Department to the following:

Firstly: Hizb ut-Tahrir is an Islamic political party whose activity is exclusively limited to intellectual and political work and avoids any form of violence.

Secondly: The ban on Hizb ut-Tahrir's activity and the persecution of its members in Uzbekistan is a purely political matter, as declared by many experts and human rights defenders.

Thirdly: For many years in Uzbekistan, thousands of our young people have been arrested and hundreds have been martyred under torture. Many of them are still in prison today. This year, many trials were held for our youth, where they were sentenced again to long prison terms.

Fourthly: Deporting Brother Abdulaziz to Uzbekistan means that he will face at the very least: imprisonment and torture!

Accordingly, we demand that you cancel Abdulaziz's deportation and release him immediately.
