The International Monetary Fund Sows Thorns for the People of Faith
So Do Not Expect to Reap Dates
News:
The Yemen Press website reported on November 11th a news item entitled "The International Monetary Fund Gives Good News to the Yemenis and Reveals a Joyful and Happy News That All Arabs Have Long Awaited to Hear!!" in which it said: "In a new report, the Fund revealed expectations of economic growth for Yemen by 0.5% for the year 2026, a rate that seems modest but carries a major symbolic significance: the beginning of the transition from a paralyzed economy to another moving slowly towards life.
In the Jordanian capital, Amman, where consultations are taking place between the Fund's mission and Yemeni officials, an atmosphere prevails that combines caution and optimism."
Comment:
This report came two days after Rashad al-Alimi met with the Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Salem bin Brik, and the Governor of the Central Bank in Aden, Ahmed Al-Maabaqi, to begin the executive path of the comprehensive economic reforms that they approved in exchange for the IMF granting targeted loans and conditions from the donor community, most notably the liberalization of the customs dollar and compliance with international standards, and opening the country to the International Investment Authority, as a basic condition for the economic recovery process in Yemen.
What economic recovery do we hope for, and the International Monetary Fund explicitly acknowledges in this report that "the improvement in the living standards of the average citizen is still far off"?!
Here is the ministry of Ibn Brik, like its predecessor, still unable to pay the salaries of government employees for months, and here you are on the verge of transferring electricity to private companies, whose prices will slaughter you, and tomorrow the role will be on the water and health institution... and so on, amidst the plundering of the resources of your public property?!
The International Monetary Fund has not entered a country without destroying it and making its economy in the grip of the wealthy Western world, as happened in Ecuador and its sisters, Indonesia, Egypt, and their likes. Rashad al-Alimi, Salem bin Brik, Ahmed Al-Maabaqi, and the Governor of Yemen to the World Bank Group, Waed Badheeb, are implicating Yemen in debt. So do not wait for your country to be destroyed while you watch, stand as a strong barrier in front of them, for the meaning is to drown Yemen in tens of billions of dollars instead of 7 billion dollars! And be confident that your Lord's plan in the economic system in Islam under the second Khilafah Rashidah (Rightly Guided Caliphate) on the method of Prophethood is the savior for you from the economic problems you are suffering from. Allah Almighty said: ﴿And seek, through that which Allah has given you, the home of the Hereafter; and [yet], do not forget your share of the world. And do good as Allah has done good to you. And desire not corruption in the land. Indeed, Allah does not like corrupters.﴾.
