On Saturday, October 25, 2025, the Senior Advisor to the US President for Arab and African Affairs, Mosaad Boulos, said that the parties to the Quartet Committee on Sudan agreed to establish a joint committee to enhance coordination on urgent priorities in Sudan. Boulos added via the X platform that the meeting hosted by the US in Washington yesterday, in which Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the UAE participated, discussed ways to stop foreign interference in the Sudanese crisis and advance the transition to civilian rule.
