The Brutal Murder of "Suhag" in the Mitford Area of Dhaka

Is an Inevitable Result of the Mad, Infidel Secular Policy

In the Mitford area of Old Dhaka, some local leaders of Jubo Dal, affiliated with the country's largest secular party, the Bangladesh Nationalist Party, brutally murdered a scrap dealer named Suhag (39 years old); they stabbed him and repeatedly beat him with a large rock for refusing to pay extortion money. Eyewitnesses said that the criminals were not satisfied with killing him, but continued their barbarism against him even after they were sure of his death. His blood-stained body was left lying in the middle of the road, and the killers stood over him in a state of maniacal ecstasy, as more than one person continued to beat his nose, mouth, and chest while he was a lifeless corpse.

Such brutal crimes and insane actions have become a daily scene under the weight of secular politics for decades. The killing of Suhag will be a new example that drives people to the urgent need to wake up against this corrupt policy. The Awami League party, a pioneer in secular politics, has already presented many examples of madness and brutality during the past fifteen years - under the leadership of Hasina the fugitive - such as the cold-blooded murders of Biswajit and Abrar Fahad.

Today, it seems that the Bangladesh Nationalist Party has followed Hasina's path towards political madness. This is because the secular policy exported by the West is based primarily on money, power, and authority, which has made it a breeding ground for corrupt, mindless, and irreligious ravenous beasts. Secular politics is a policy based on selfish self-interests, and there is no place in it for fear of Allah ﷻ, preparing for the Day of Judgment, or striving to attain Paradise and Allah's pleasure. Therefore, despite the change in ruling faces over the decades, the condition of the people has not changed.

Followers of secularism are trying to deceive people and cover up the ugly face of secular politics by describing the Nationalist Party as neo-fascist and taking advantage of this politically. But the fundamental question is: How will the Nationalist Party's secularism be different from the Awami League's secularism? And how will their party be different when it starts from the same corrupt base?

People have not seen any real difference between the policies of the Awami League and the Bangladesh Nationalist Party. A well-known journalist tried to obscure the people's anger by describing the murder of Suhag as an internal conflict within the Nationalist Party, as if it were a partisan affair that did not concern the nation, while the party condemned the crime as an isolated incident. However, in just one year, hundreds of the party's leaders and members were killed in power struggles.

How can a party that cannot unite its leaders and followers unite the nation? And how can a party that produces corrupt leaders who have no morals or integrity care about the interests of the people? Thus, secular politicians and intellectuals are trying to hide the bankruptcy of their failed political philosophy.

The people overthrew the tyrant Hasina after great sacrifices, and today they are demanding a political settlement based on Islam, which protects their interests and preserves the sovereignty of their country. However, politicians and intellectuals who are subservient to the West still insist on imposing the same corrupt secular settlement in the name of "political reform." Allah ﷻ says: ﴿AND WHEN IT IS SAID TO THEM, "DO NOT CAUSE CORRUPTION ON THE EARTH," THEY SAY, "WE ARE BUT REFORMERS."﴾! Politics in Islam is a sacred duty known as Sharia politics, the goal of which is to take care of people's affairs by implementing the rulings of Islam, establishing justice, protecting the nation from the military, economic, and cultural hegemony of colonial powers, and spreading Islam in the world. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The Children of Israel were governed by the prophets; whenever a prophet died, another succeeded him. There will be no prophet after me, but there will be caliphs, and they will be many." Narrated by Bukhari and Muslim.

As for the secular politics imposed on us by the infidel colonialists, it is a disaster for the Islamic nation. We see our brothers being brutally killed as happened to Suhag, and at the same time, we are incurring the wrath of Allah ﷻ upon us. Therefore, the nation must unite with the sincere party; Hizb ut-Tahrir, in political action to establish the Rightly Guided Khilafah. Only ruling by what Allah has revealed can liberate Muslims from violence, infighting, extortion, and self-interests, for it alone is capable of uniting and caring for the nation.
