The United States is a colonial state; and submission to its customs policies threatens the nation's sovereignty!
America, the global promoter of capitalism, has launched a "customs storm" around the world, ignoring the principles of free economy, one of the essential foundations of capitalist thought, as well as the rules and regulations established by the World Trade Organization, which it created itself. This proves once again that the capitalist system is an inhuman and exploitative system. The interim government in Bangladesh has adopted a policy of submission in response to US customs measures. It has already made a suicidal decision to purchase 25 expensive Boeing aircraft, along with importing cotton and liquefied natural gas from America, even though many countries have cancelled their orders due to Boeing's poor performance. The government is also holding bilateral meetings with America behind closed doors, through the signing of a historic non-disclosure agreement. This is because the conscious people, sincere politicians, and intellectuals in the country realize that America is seeking to use Bangladesh as a geopolitical card and is pushing for the implementation of its colonial projects in this region. Allah Almighty said: ﴿If they gain dominance over you, they will be your enemies and extend against you their hands and tongues with evil﴾.
As for capitalist economists, despite their knowledge of political economy, they are naive to the point that they view American customs policy from an economic angle only, and see no solution to it except through counter-economic measures. If the interim government had expelled American companies from the energy sector in Bangladesh, it would have been a suitable response to these inhuman policies, yet this was not taken into account in the calculations of the trade deficit between Bangladesh and America.
As for the Bangladeshi Nationalist Party, which is greedy for power, it has deceived the people by promising full cooperation with the government in dealing with US customs duties. At a time when America is working to extend its hegemony over Bangladesh, some have not hesitated to present gifts to American diplomats!
We in Hizb ut-Tahrir / Wilayah Bangladesh warn the interim government and say to it: America is a colonial state, so refrain from concluding any agreement with it, but rather this opportunity must be exploited to avoid all forms of dependence on it, including trade dependence.
O People: Every conscious politician knows that America has repeatedly caused the global economy to enter recession due to its colonial capitalist policies. Today, it is declaring a trade war in an effort to impose its unilateral hegemony on the world. Researcher Dr. Muzam, Director of Research at the Center for Political Dialogue, has confirmed that the unilateral trade policies and new tariffs imposed by America pose a threat to global trade. Thus, the falsehood of the "utopia" that capitalism has long preached in the so-called free market economy has been exposed, even in the eyes of contemporary economists.
Only the Khilafah system is capable of making the country economically self-reliant and replacing economic policies based on foreign direct investment. It will uproot American colonial institutions such as the IMF and the World Bank, and establish a pioneering economy based on Islam, to restore the world under the shadow of a just and balanced economy. You know that Hizb ut-Tahrir has previously presented a detailed statement on the pioneering economic policies of the Khilafah in many local and international conferences. So unite your ranks with the sincere and conscious leadership of Hizb ut-Tahrir, and come forward to establish the Khilafah. Allah Almighty said: ﴿And if the people of the towns had believed and feared Allah, We would have opened upon them blessings from the heaven and the earth; but they denied [the messengers], so We seized them for what they were earning﴾.
