Yunus-Tarique Agreement in London
An Attempt to Preserve the Hegemony of the United States and Its Oppressive Secular Capitalist System
On June 13, 2025, the head of the interim government, Dr. Yunus, residing in London, disappointed the people of Bangladesh by concluding a political settlement with Tarique Rahman, the acting chairman of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party. The people of this country have not forgotten the dark history of the rulers and the corruption practiced by the ruling class in the Bangladesh Nationalist Party. In fact, this political settlement between Yunus and Tarique, and the sharing of power, is part of a US plan that will enable it to implement its colonial projects. You have seen the welcome and satisfaction expressed by former US ambassadors, Dan Mozena, Bernicat, and Peter Haas, with this settlement. According to news reports, the Bangladesh Nationalist Party also proposed the appointment of Dr. Yunus as president. With the fall of the tyrant Hasina, the people of this country expressed their desire to be liberated from the oppressive capitalist system and the hegemony of the infidel Western colonizers, but this kind of concession is nothing but a betrayal of the people of this country.
We, in Hizb ut-Tahrir / Wilayah Bangladesh, want to warn the interim government and the political milieu that the people of this country will never tolerate any conspiracy to consolidate the hegemony of the infidel states and polytheists over this Islamic land. They must learn a lesson from the fall of the hated ruler Hasina. Allah Almighty says: ﴿Those who take disbelievers for allies instead of the believers. Do they seek power with them? Verily, all power belongs to Allah.﴾ Therefore, the interim government must create the appropriate political environment in order to reach a political consensus based on Islam, the interests of the people, and the protection of the country's sovereignty, so as to reflect and fulfill the hopes and aspirations of the people. Allah Almighty says: ﴿The believers are but brothers, so make settlement between your brothers. And fear Allah that you may receive mercy.﴾ Therefore, we must unite our ranks by forgetting our differences, and rejecting the disbelievers and polytheists.
O people, after fifteen years of movement, struggle, and many sacrifices, you have overthrown the tyrant Hasina, an agent of the secular capitalist regime. It was narrated from Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him, that the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, said: «A believer should not be stung twice from the same hole.» Sahih al-Bukhari and Muslim. Therefore, you must not be stung again from the same hole of the secular capitalist system, through political settlements and power-sharing between the ruling classes loyal to the West, Britain and America. We must reject the "circus" of so-called state reform, and be active in the comprehensive change of the state. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "... Then there will be an oppressive kingdom, and it will be as long as God wills it to be. Then He will lift it up when He wills to lift it up. Then there will be a Caliphate according to the method of Prophethood." Then he was silent." Musnad Ahmad. To achieve this glad tiding of the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, there must be political unity to establish the Caliphate according to the method of Prophethood. Only by establishing the Caliphate, Islam is preserved, the interests of the Islamic Ummah are preserved, and the sovereignty of the Islamic countries is preserved, God willing.
﴿O you who have believed, respond to Allah and to the Messenger when he calls you to that which gives you life. And know that Allah comes in between a man and his heart and that to Him you will be gathered.﴾
