Supporting genocide is a crime, not calling for liberation!

Today, Friday, October 17, 2025, the National Court acquitted me after I was convicted in the City Court of calling for the liberation of Palestine.

My speech at a demonstration in May 2021 in front of the Egyptian Embassy, in which I called on the Muslim armies to save the oppressed men, women, and children in Gaza, was criminal according to the ruling of the Copenhagen City Court issued in June 2024!

It was proven in both the City Court and the Supreme Court that the speech was not directed at Jews, but rather called for the elimination of the usurping Zionist entity through armed struggle.

The City Court’s ruling directly criminalized calling for the liberation of Palestine, as the Public Prosecutor's outdated claims about anti-Semitism quickly collapsed.

This ruling was overturned today as being incoherent and not based on a legal basis. However, it was part of a political trend of hasty judgments against opponents of the Jewish entity's occupation of Palestine.

It is a disgrace to the Danish judicial system that this case reached the Supreme Court before it was dismissed, and that the judiciary is being distorted to such an extreme degree to protect the entity that is committing genocide and provide unconditional support to it from the Danish state.

The Supreme Court judge refused to succumb to the enormous pressure exerted by the government, which openly encouraged the police and the Public Prosecutor to prosecute anyone who calls for the liberation of Palestine.

Despite my acquittal now, a long series of political judgments against people who called for or supported armed resistance against the Jewish entity cannot be ignored. In one case, it even went as far as revoking citizenship!

Criminalizing and prosecuting people for their political positions against a military occupation that is committing genocide using Danish weapon components are unacceptable intimidation attempts. But this path has ended. Whether there are political lawsuits or not, the call for the true liberation of Palestine cannot be stopped. It has become clearer today than ever that the Zionist cancer represented by military occupation, systematic terrorism, mass murder, torture, land theft, and ethnic cleansing must be eradicated by military action, a vision that is gaining global momentum as the only real solution.

We in Hizb ut-Tahrir/ Denmark call on everyone with an ounce of shame to continue the resistance against Denmark's support for the Jewish entity settlement colony and its continued plans to exterminate the Palestinian people.

We call on our Muslim brothers and sisters to work with greater determination and perseverance for the complete elimination of the occupation and the liberation of Palestine through the armies of the Islamic countries.

Calling for the liberation of Palestine is not a crime, but a duty and an honor. It is the Danish state that is acting criminally by supporting a settlement colony that is committing genocide.
