Milestone Tragedy: Innocent Children and Our Brave Pilot Touqeer, Victims of the Absence of a Caring State
On Monday afternoon, July 21, 2025, a (F-7 BGI) fighter jet of the Bangladesh Air Force crashed into the primary section building of Milestone School and College in the Uttara area of the capital, due to a mechanical failure. This resulted in a tragic and heartbreaking accident, represented by horrific scenes of children and boys burned and dismembered, dead and wounded. We ask Allah Almighty for mercy for the deceased, a speedy recovery for the injured, and we ask Him, Glory be to Him, to write the victims among the martyrs in Paradise, based on the saying of the Messenger of God ﷺ: «...and the person who dies in a fire is a martyr.» Narrated by Ahmad, Abu Dawood and al-Nasa’i.
O People: Just as this tragic accident revealed the sincerity and selflessness of the people, it also exposed the hypocrisy and indifference of the selfish secular rulers and political parties. We witnessed the amazing participation of people in rescue operations and blood donations for the injured, and the heroic sacrifice of the teacher who sacrificed her life to save at least 20 students. In contrast, the government failed to provide immediate relief and treatment for the burned children, as well as provide ambulances to transport them to hospitals, while people know very well that when these rulers and political elites get sick, they are transported by private ambulance planes to Singapore for treatment!
While everyone was mourning this tragedy, the decision to postpone the secondary school certificate exam was delayed until midnight under the pretext of "the law," which sparked widespread anger among students and their parents. As for the greedy secular political elites, they were busy with speeches, statements, and taking pictures to achieve political gains, and stirring up storms of conspiracy theories through the media, instead of holding the government accountable. At the same time, the power-sharing meetings in the National Consensus Committee and the election tours did not stop. The truth that the whole world knows is that the secular capitalist system of disbelief is a factory for producing selfish, corrupt, and reckless rulers.
O People: The worrying issue that emerged again through this incident is the neglect and deficiency of the ruling secular elites over decades in building a strong army equipped with quality weapons. As a result, we are losing our brave soldiers one after the other in suicide planes due to malfunctions, not facing enemies! This is not the first time that a crash of these fighters has occurred in Bangladesh; This model (F-7) has been involved in several accidents over the past eleven years. This Chinese-made aircraft, adapted from the Russian MiG-21, is known as the "Old Fighter", and its production began in the sixties and stopped in 2013.
O People: The Messenger of God ﷺ said: «The Imam is a shepherd and is responsible for his flock...» Agreed upon. The glorious Caliphate of the Islamic nation proved this over centuries through the positions of the Rightly Guided Caliphs, such as Abu Bakr and Omar, may God be pleased with them, and other pious rulers. Omar, may God be pleased with him, confirmed his responsibility towards the people, saying: "If a mule stumbled on the banks of the Euphrates, I would fear that God would ask me about it on the Day of Resurrection."
As for this current infidel secular regime, which cannot even count the bodies of its people for decades, it reminds us today of the absence of the caring Caliphate state that we have missed for more than a hundred years, and the nation's dire need for it. The failure to modernize the army under this infidel regime indicates the fragility of our sovereignty, a reality that reminds us of the absence of the great military power of the Caliphate that we have missed for more than a century. God Almighty has obligated the Caliphate state to strive diligently to modernize and strengthen its army. God Almighty said:
﴿And prepare against them whatever you are able of power and steeds of war by which you may terrify the enemy of Allah and your enemy and others besides them whom you do not know [but] Allah knows them.﴾.
Hizb ut-Tahrir calls on the conscious people of this country, the sincere politicians, the thinkers, and the army officers, to hasten to work to establish the caring and powerful Caliphate without any delay.
