A journalist's response to what was stated in an article by the writer Sabah Muhammad Al-Hassan
We reviewed an article by journalist Sabah Muhammad Al-Hassan on the Sudan Monitor network, dated 09/22/2025, entitled: "Why did the African Union present an initiative parallel to the Quartet, despite welcoming its statement and its willingness to work with it?!"
Where the writer stated in the conclusion of the article in a final spectrum the following: (Kenya has officially classified the Muslim Brotherhood and Hizb ut-Tahrir as terrorist entities under the Prevention of Terrorism Act Chapter 59B, representing an important step in the country's efforts to combat terrorism).
Before responding to what the writer mentioned regarding Hizb ut-Tahrir, we ask her what is terrorism, and does its description apply to Hizb ut-Tahrir?!
Firstly: There is no internationally agreed upon definition of terrorism until the colonial countries use it as a scarecrow to fight Islam. The former US President George Bush Jr. explicitly stated it after the events of September 11, 2001: (We are waging a crusade), and the writer knows what the crusades mean. As for its former president also, Barack Obama, he said: (We are waging a war in minds and souls), meaning their war on alleged terrorism, and unfortunately, some misguided Muslims unconsciously repeat the phrases of terrorism and terrorists in service of the policy of the infidel, colonialist West who hates Islam and Muslims.
Secondly: We do not know how the writer inserted the topic of terrorism, and Kenya's classification of Hizb ut-Tahrir as a terrorist entity, despite the fact that her topic is about the African Union and the Quartet, unless she has a purpose, and we hope that this is not true, because Professor Sabah knows Hizb ut-Tahrir well since she was working in Al-Jarida newspaper, and the party communicated with Al-Jarida, and she knows very well that Hizb ut-Tahrir does not carry out material actions, but rather carries out intellectual and political actions.
Thirdly: Hizb ut-Tahrir is a political party whose principle is Islam. It seeks to resume the Islamic way of life by establishing the second Righteous Caliphate on the method of Prophethood through political means, and does not carry out any material actions, not out of fear of anyone, but in commitment to the method of the Prophet ﷺ in establishing the first Islamic state.
Fourthly: Hizb ut-Tahrir / Wilayah of Sudan was clear in exposing America's plans in this absurd war, through which America seeks to remove the men of the English and install its men from the military in power, as it seeks to tear Sudan apart by separating Darfur with the same scenario with which South Sudan was separated. The party carried out, and still does, remarkable political actions to prevent the tearing apart of Sudan, so it was incumbent upon the journalist Sabah, if she was concerned about the unity of the country, stopping the war, and preventing the Western American plans, it was incumbent upon her to include the party's statements, publications and actions, at least out of journalistic integrity, and transmitting the news, but she only saw what Kenya did against Hizb ut-Tahrir, which is normal from Kenya and other small states affiliated with colonialism, and following in its footsteps in the war on Islam.
