The recent meeting between Trump and European leaders is nothing but a mirror that clearly reflects the deep disintegration that plagues the core of Western civilization. The West, with its boasted values of freedom and justice, appears in such meetings as a collapsing entity, tossed about by the whims of its leaders and torn apart by narrow interests. This meeting unequivocally reveals an arrogant American tendency to seek hegemony, where Washington imposes its will as the sole decision-maker, while the Europeans are left in the position of a submissive follower, receiving orders without any ability to initiate.
