The ongoing tragedy in Gaza, and throughout the blessed land of Palestine, represents a mirror reflecting the Ummah’s pride, dignity, and sacrifice, as well as reflecting the deep wounds the Ummah has suffered since losing its protective shield; the Khilafah.

While the world knows a lot about the genocide that our people in Palestine are suffering from, what is known or circulated about the suffering of the people of Sudan during the past eighteen months of silent genocide is much less. This atrocity has claimed the lives of more than 15,000 people, displaced more than 10 million, and left half the population – 25 million people – facing food insecurity and hunger.
The heavy rains and torrential floods that struck wide areas of Sudan led to the death of 42 people, the injury of 31 others, and the collapse of more than four thousand homes. We ask God Almighty for mercy and forgiveness for our people who died as a result of these rains, and that God raise them to the status of martyrs, and we ask Him Almighty for kindness in His judgment. It is sad and unfortunate that the rainy season does not come as a surprise, but rather it is months of information that is repeated annually, and what is worse is that many weather stations warned of heavy rains, but the government agencies did not take action.
