Al-Radar: Hizb ut-Tahrir issues a press release: The assaults of (Tisa Tawila - Nine Long) will only be eliminated by implementing Sharia punishments under the Caliphate
Habiba Al-Amin, a journalist at the Kosh News website, was subjected to a serious attack by individuals belonging to the “Tisa Tawila - Nine Long” gang in the Transit area of Port Sudan, while returning from media coverage, accompanied by a number of her colleagues. This is just one incident of many incidents of looting, robbery, and murder, inside cities that are supposed to be safe, as in Omdurman and Khartoum, and now in the administrative capital, Port Sudan. These are cities under the control of the government and its security agencies.
However, criminals attack with boldness, as if they trust that the government's hand will not reach them, and if it does reach them, they are reassured by the weakness of the deterrent penalty, despite the magnitude of the crime committed.
No one disagrees that the spread of crime can only be deterred by establishing Sharia punishments, as the Sharia rule states that (Hudud are deterrents and remedies); they are deterrents from committing crimes, and forgiveness for those upon whom the punishment is applied, compensating them for the torment of the Hereafter.
It was narrated from Abdullah bin Omar who said: "The Prophet ﷺ cut off (the hand) for a shield whose value was three dirhams." Reported by Ibn Majah, and the wording is his, and it was reported by Al-Bukhari and Muslim. And in another narration: "The Prophet ﷺ cut off the hand of a man who stole a shield from the women's section, the price of which was three dirhams." Sahih Abi Dawood, Al-Nasa'i, and others.
As for those who terrorize the innocent, and practice killing, usurpation, looting, and robbery, by force of arms, as is the case with (Tisa Tawila - Nine Long), the noble verses have come as a deterrent and restraining force for them. God Almighty said: ﴿INDEED, THE PENALTY FOR THOSE WHO WAGE WAR AGAINST ALLAH AND HIS MESSENGER AND STRIVE UPON EARTH [TO CAUSE] CORRUPTION IS NONE BUT THAT THEY BE KILLED OR CRUCIFIED OR THAT THEIR HANDS AND FEET BE CUT OFF FROM OPPOSITE SIDES OR THAT THEY BE EXILED FROM THE LAND. THAT IS FOR THEM A DISGRACE IN THIS WORLD, AND FOR THEM IN THE HEREAFTER IS A GREAT PUNISHMENT﴾. If the government had taken the initiative and applied one of God’s punishments, all criminals would have been deterred, but it seems that it is an honor it does not deserve, so we see it going around in circles, thinking that appointing a Minister of Interior, or deploying the police in the city center, or organizing security campaigns, would make a difference, but the situation is getting worse.
Sharia rulings are not applied except under the Islamic state; the Rightly Guided Caliphate according to the method of Prophethood, for it alone is the deterrent for criminals, and the restraining force for them. As for democratic systems, they breed criminals, even create crime, and sponsor corruption, because of the weakness of penalties they have. They think that they are more merciful to people than their Creator, and there is no sin after disbelief.
So, will the people of power and strength in our country respond to the caller of the Most Merciful, and give victory to Hizb ut-Tahrir, to hold the Sharia pledge of allegiance to a rightly guided Caliph, who establishes justice, spreads security, and deters criminals; the large ones before the small ones, in accordance with his ﷺ saying: "The Imam is but a shield, behind whom you fight and by whom you are protected"?!"
﴿O you who have believed, respond to Allah and to the Messenger when he calls you to that which gives you life.﴾.
