Aradar: A political address in Port Sudan:
(How Islam addressed the problem of high prices)
Aradar News Under this title, Hizb ut-Tahrir / Wilayah Sudan held its weekly political address today, Monday, 27 Dhul-Hijjah 1446 AH, corresponding to 06/23/2025 AD, in front of the Al-Haramain Hotel in the Grand Market in Port Sudan.
The speaker, Professor Muhammad Jami Abu Ayman, discussed the problem of high prices from which the people of Sudan suffer, and how the entire humanity suffers from high prices due to the control of the existing capitalist democratic systems in the world, and how they are the reason for high prices, so many people were unable to obtain goods and services. Then he explained the hadith: (Whoever interferes in the prices of Muslims to raise them, it is a right upon Allah to seat him with a great fire on the Day of Resurrection), and listed the things that would lead to high prices, which have already led to high prices of goods and services, and how Islam dealt with them, as follows:
1/ Monopoly: Islam forbade monopoly, and the speaker discussed it in detail, explaining its significant impact on raising prices, and that Islam has forbidden this heinous act: (No one monopolizes except a sinner).
2/ Taxes of both types, direct and indirect, and how the overwhelmed buyer is the one who pays these taxes that countries that apply capitalist democratic systems take on goods and services, and take them without a legitimate reason.
3/ Customs duties, as everyone feels their impact on high prices, and he explained that Islam has forbidden them, as he, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “The owner of a customs post will not enter Paradise.” Al-Maks is customs duties, as Abu Ayman cited the hadith of Al-Ghamidi: (Al-Ghamidi came and said: O Messenger of God, I have committed adultery, and I want you to purify me. He turned her away. When the next day came, she came to him and said: O Prophet of God, why do you turn me away? Perhaps you want to turn me away as you turned away Ma’iz bin Malik? By God, I am pregnant. He said: If not, then go until you give birth. When she gave birth, she came to him with the baby in a rag, and said: This is what I gave birth to. He said: Go and breastfeed him until you wean him. When she weaned him, she came to him with the baby, and in his hand was a piece of bread, and she said: This, O Prophet of God, I have weaned him, and he has eaten food. He handed the boy over to a man from the Muslims, then ordered her to be dug for up to her chest, and ordered the people to stone her, and Khalid bin Al-Walid came forward and stoned her head, and the blood splattered on his face, so he cursed her, and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, heard him cursing her, so he said: Take it easy, Khalid, for by the One in Whose hand is my soul, she has repented a repentance that if the owner of a customs post repented, God would forgive him. Then he ordered her to be prayed over and she was buried).
4/ Hoarding, as the speaker explained that hoarding prevents people from accessing the money that all people should circulate, and not just a state between the rich and the owners of capital alone...
The attendees praised the address, some of them magnified and chanted, and one of them said: (This is a distinguished presentation, and we only heard what God said and what the Messenger of God said... May God reward you with good).
Finally, the speaker reminded the attendees of the obligation to work to establish the state that applies the rulings of Islam in economics and other systems of life, and that the Caliphate is the state that the beloved Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, established, and specified that it is a Caliphate on the method of Prophethood after him.... Then he gave glad tidings of our Lord’s promise, saying: (Allah has promised those who have believed among you and done righteous deeds that He will surely grant them succession [to authority] upon the earth just as He granted it to those before them), and the glad tidings of our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, saying: (... then there will be a Caliphate on the method of Prophethood).
Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds
