Koshi News: Political Address in Port Sudan: (How Islam Addressed the Problem of High Prices)
Port Sudan - Koshi News Follow-ups: Hizb ut-Tahrir / Sudan Province held its weekly political address today, Monday, 27 Dhu al-Hijjah 1446 AH, corresponding to June 23, 2025 AD, in front of the Al-Haramain Hotel in the Grand Market in Port Sudan.
The speaker, Mr. Muhammad Jamie Abu Ayman, addressed the problem of high prices that the people of Sudan are suffering from, and how all of humanity is suffering from high prices due to the control of the existing capitalist democratic systems in the world, and how they are the cause of high prices, so many people could not obtain goods and services. Then he explained the hadith: (Whoever interferes in any of the Muslims' prices to inflate them, it is incumbent upon Allah to make him sit in a great fire on the Day of Resurrection), and listed the things that would lead to high prices, which have already led to higher prices for goods and services, and how Islam addressed them, as follows:
1/ Monopoly: Islam forbade monopoly, and the speaker explained it in detail, showing its significant impact on raising prices, and that Islam has forbidden this heinous act: (No one monopolizes except a sinner).
2/ Taxes of both kinds, direct and indirect, and how the helpless buyer is the one who pays these taxes that countries that apply capitalist democratic systems take on goods and services, and take them without legal right.
3/ Customs duties, as everyone feels their impact on raising prices, and he explained that Islam has forbidden them, so peace and blessings be upon him: “The collector of illegal tax will not enter Paradise.” Al-Maks is customs, as Abu Ayman argued with the hadith of Al-Ghamidiya: (Al-Ghamidiyah came and said: O Messenger of God, I have committed adultery, and I want you to purify me. He turned her away, and the next day she came to him and said: O Prophet of God, why are you turning me away; perhaps you want to turn me away as you turned away Ma'iz bin Malik? By God, I am pregnant. He said: If not, then go until you give birth. When she gave birth, she came to him with the boy in a rag, and said: This is what I gave birth to. He said: Go and nurse him until you wean him. When she weaned him, she came to him with the boy, and in his hand was a piece of bread, and she said: O Prophet of God, I have weaned him, and he has eaten food. He handed the boy to a man from the Muslims, then ordered that a hole be dug for her up to her chest, and ordered the people to throw, and Khalid bin Al-Walid came forward and threw her head, and the blood splashed on his face, so he cursed her, and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, heard him cursing her, and said: Gently, O Khalid, by the One in whose hand my soul is, she has repented a repentance that if the collector of illegal tax had repented, God would have forgiven him. Then he ordered that he pray over her, and she was buried).
4/ Hoarding, as the speaker explained that hoarding prevents people from accessing the money that all people should circulate, and not just the wealthy and owners of capital alone...
The attendees praised the address, some of them magnified and chanted, and one of them said: (This is a distinguished presentation, and we only heard God said and the Messenger of God said... May God reward you with goodness).
Finally, the speaker reminded the audience of the obligation to work to establish the state that applies the rulings of Islam in economics and other life systems, and that the Caliphate is the state established by the beloved Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and specified that it is a Caliphate on the method of Prophethood after him... Then he gave glad tidings of our Lord's promise, saying: (Allah has promised those who have believed among you and done righteous deeds that He will surely grant them succession [to authority] upon the earth just as He granted it to those before them), and the glad tidings of our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, saying: (... Then there will be a Caliphate on the method of Prophethood).
Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds
