With the Noble Hadith
Four things, if they are in you... then it does not matter what you miss of this world!!
We greet you all, dear listeners, everywhere. We meet you in a new episode of your program "With the Noble Hadith," and we begin with the best of greetings and the purest of peace. Peace, mercy, and blessings of God be upon you. And after:
Imam Ahmad narrated in his Musnad: Hasan narrated to us, Ibn Lahia narrated to us, from Al-Harith bin Yazid Al-Hadrami, from Abdullah bin Amr, that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: "Four things, if they are in you, then it does not matter what you miss of this world: preserving trust, truthfulness in speech, good character, and chastity in food."
Dear listeners:
-
The first of these four is: preserving trust:
Al-Tabarani narrated in Al-Awsat from Ubaid Allah bin Umar, from Nafi’, from Ibn Umar, who said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: "There is no faith for the one who has no trust, no prayer for the one who has no purification, and no religion for the one who has no prayer. The position of prayer in religion is like the position of the head in the body."
-
The second is: truthfulness in speech:
Muslim narrated in his Sahih from Abdullah, who said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: "Adhere to truthfulness, for truthfulness leads to righteousness, and righteousness leads to Paradise. A man continues to be truthful and strives for truthfulness until he is written with God as a truthful person. And beware of lying, for lying leads to wickedness, and wickedness leads to Hell. A man continues to lie and strives for lying until he is written with God as a liar."
Al-Tabarani narrated in Al-Kabir in the story of Ka'b bin Malik, who was one of the three who were left behind in the Battle of Usra (Tabuk), and God Almighty accepted their repentance. Ka'b said: "O Messenger of God, God has saved me by truthfulness, and part of my repentance to God is that I will only speak truthfully for as long as I live. By God, I do not know anyone among the people whom God has tested with truthfulness of speech as He has tested me since I mentioned that to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, until this day, and I hope that God will protect me in what remains."
-
The third is: good character:
The following hadiths were mentioned in the book "Mawarid al-Zam'an ila Zawa'id Ibn Hibban" in the "Chapter on What Was Said About Good Character": From Abdullah bin Amr, that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said in a gathering: "Shall I not tell you who is most beloved to me and closest to me in seating on the Day of Resurrection?" (He said it three times) We said: Yes, O Messenger of God. He said: "The best of you in character." And from Abu Tha'laba al-Khushani, from the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, who said: "The most beloved of you to me and the closest to me in the Hereafter are the best of you in character, and the most hateful of you to me and the furthest from me in the Hereafter are the worst of you in character, the pretentious, the verbose, the talkative." And from Abu Hurairah, from the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, who said: "Shall I not tell you who are the best of you?" They said: Yes, O Messenger of God. He said: "The longest-lived of you and the best of you in character."
And from Abu al-Darda', from the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, who said: "The heaviest thing that will be placed in the balance of a believer on the Day of Resurrection is good character, and God hates the obscene and indecent." And from Abdullah bin Amr bin Al-Aas, that Muadh bin Jabal intended to travel, so he said: O Prophet of God, advise me. He said: "Worship God and do not associate anything with Him." He said: O Prophet of God, give me more. He said: "If you do wrong, then do good." He said: O Prophet of God, give me more. He said: "Be steadfast and let your character be good." And from Abu Hurairah, who said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, was asked: What is the most common thing that causes people to enter Paradise? He said: "Fear of God and good character." He said: What is the most common thing that causes people to enter Hell? He said: "The two hollow things: the mouth and the private parts." And from Abu Hurairah, from the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, who said: "The most complete of believers in faith are the best of them in character." And from Aisha, who said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: "Indeed, the believer can attain with his character the rank of one who fasts and prays." And from Abu Hurairah, who said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: "A man's honor is his religion, his dignity is his intellect, and his lineage is his character."
-
And the fourth is: chastity in food:
Al-Tabarani narrated in Al-Awsat from Ibn Abbas, who said: This verse was recited in the presence of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace: (O mankind, eat from whatever is on earth [that is] lawful and good). (Al-Baqarah 168) Saad bin Abi Waqqas stood up and said: O Messenger of God, pray to God to make me one whose prayers are answered. The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said to him: "O Saad, make your food good, and you will be one whose prayers are answered. By the One in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, when a servant throws a morsel of unlawful food into his stomach, no deed of his will be accepted for forty days. And any servant whose flesh grows from usury, the Fire is more deserving of him."
Abu Nuaim narrated in his Musnad al-Mustakhraj ala Sahih Muslim from Abu Hurairah, who said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: "O people, God is good and only accepts what is good. And God Almighty has commanded the believers with what He commanded the messengers, so He said: (O messengers, eat from the good foods and work righteousness. Indeed, I, of what you do, am Knowing). (Al-Mu'minun 51) And He said: (O you who have believed, eat from the good things which We have provided for you). (Al-Baqarah 172). Then he mentioned a man who travels for a long time, disheveled and dusty, extending his hands to the sky: O Lord, O Lord, but his food is unlawful, his drink is unlawful, his clothing is unlawful, and he has been nourished with unlawful things, so how can he be answered?"
Dear listeners: We thank you for your kind listening. Our appointment with you is in the next episode, God willing. Until that time, and until we meet you always, we leave you in God's care, protection, and security. Peace, mercy, and blessings of God be upon you.
