With the Hadith
"Wine is the key to all evil"
We greet you all, dear listeners everywhere, in a new episode of your program "With the Hadith" and we start with the best greeting, so peace, mercy and blessings of God be upon you.
It came in the footnote of Al-Sindi, in the explanation of Sunan Ibn Majah "with modification" in the chapter "Wine is the key to all evil"
Al-Hussein bin Al-Hassan Al-Marwazi told us, Ibn Abi Adiy told us, and Ibrahim bin Saeed Al-Jawhari told us, Abdul Wahhab told us all from Rashid Abi Muhammad Al-Himmani from Shahr bin Hawshab from Umm Al-Darda’ from Abi Al-Darda’ who said: My Khalil, may God bless him and grant him peace, instructed me: "Do not drink wine, for it is the key to all evil."
His saying: (for it is the key to all evil) for it removes the mind, so he does not care about anything, so the door of evil has been opened to him after it was closed with the bond of reason.
Dear listeners:
It is mentioned in this context that a person was given a choice between three things: either adultery, or killing a soul, or drinking wine. He thought that adultery was a major sin, so he did not commit it. And that killing a soul is greater and greater, so he did not accept his choice, and he made it easy to drink wine. When the wine spun in his head, he killed the respected soul and committed adultery, because when he lost his mind, he made it easy and permissible to commit other sins. Therefore - O Muslims - drinking wine is a great thing, and it is one of the major sins. Despite that, and despite the Messenger's - may God bless him and grant him peace - cursing of wine, its seller, and its drinker, we see its presence in Muslim countries, and we see those who drink it and those who trade in it, as if that is happening in non-Muslim countries, and what is more bitter and bitter is that our rulers promote it, and open bars for it, until seeing places where wine is sold has become a familiar sight in Muslim countries. And since this is one of the evils of the state, and since the states in Muslim countries do not work to remove it, no; rather, they work to create it among Muslims, then removing these states and those who rule in them is a legal duty, and what cannot be done except through it is a duty, so we call on you, O Muslims, to work with those who work to restore God’s rule on earth, through the Islamic state (the Second Caliphate on the method of Prophethood) that our noble Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, promised us.
