With the Hadith
Trust in God's Victory
We greet you all, dear friends, everywhere, in a new episode of your program "With the Hadith," and we begin with the best greeting: peace, mercy, and blessings of God be upon you.
Abu al-Rabi’ al-‘Ataki and Qutaiba bin Saeed both narrated to us from Hammad bin Zaid, and the wording is Qutaiba’s: Hammad narrated to us from Ayyub from Abi Qilaba from Abi Asma’ from Thawban, who said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: "God folded up the earth for me, and I saw its east and its west, and the dominion of my nation will reach what was folded up for me. I was given the two treasures, the red and the white, and I asked my Lord for my nation not to destroy it with a general famine and not to give power over them to an enemy other than themselves to violate their sanctity. My Lord said: O Muhammad, when I decree a decree, it cannot be reversed. I have granted you for your nation that I will not destroy them with a general famine and that I will not give power over them to an enemy other than themselves to violate their sanctity, even if those in its regions gather against them," or he said, "from between its regions, until some of them destroy others and some of them enslave others." (Narrated by Muslim)
Explanation of the Hadith
The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: (God has folded up the earth for me, and I saw its east and its west, and the dominion of my nation will reach what was folded up for me. I was given the two treasures, the red and the white). As for (folded), it means gathered, and this hadith contains obvious miracles, and all of them have occurred, praise be to God, as he, peace and blessings be upon him, reported.
The scholars said: The treasures meant are gold and silver, and what is meant are the treasures of Khosrau and Caesar, the kings of Iraq and the Levant. It contains an indication that the greatest extent of this nation’s dominion will be in the east and west, and that is what happened. As for the south and north, it is small compared to the east and west. May God’s prayers and peace be upon His truthful Messenger who does not speak from his own desire. It is only a revelation that is revealed.
The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: (To violate their sanctity) meaning their community and origin, and the sanctuary is also honor and dominion.
God Almighty said: (I have given you for your nation that I will not destroy them with a general famine) meaning that I will not destroy them with a drought that afflicts them all, but if a drought occurs, it will be in a small area compared to the rest of the Islamic countries.
Many hadiths have been narrated from the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, that herald victory and empowerment, including:
The Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, said: (This matter will reach as far as the night and day reach, and God will not leave a house of mud or hair but that God will enter this religion into it with the glory of the honorable or the humiliation of the humiliated, glory with which God glorifies Islam and humiliation with which God humiliates disbelief) Narrated by Ahmad in his Musnad
Abu Nadra, may God be pleased with him, said: We were with Jabir bin Abdullah, may God be pleased with him, and he said: It is likely that the people of Iraq will not have a qafiz or a dirham collected for them. We said: Where is that from? He said: The non-Arabs will prevent that. Then he said: It is likely that the people of the Levant will not have a dinar or a mudd collected for them. We said: Where is that from? He said: From the Romans. Then he was silent for a moment, then he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: (There will be a caliph in the latter part of my nation who will scoop up wealth and not count it) Narrated by Muslim.
There is evidence from the Holy Quran that heralds victory and empowerment for this religion and that it will have dominance in the end, including God Almighty’s saying (God has promised those who have believed among you and done righteous deeds that He will surely grant them succession [to authority] upon the earth just as He granted it to those before them and that He will surely establish for them [therein] their religion which He has preferred for them and that He will surely substitute for them, after their fear, security, [for] they worship Me, not associating anything with Me. But whoever disbelieves after that - then those are the defiantly disobedient) (An-Nur: 55)
Yes, God’s promise is true, and our Messenger’s glad tidings are true, and what we are living through these days is what our noble Messenger foretold. Rather, things proceed according to destiny, and consequences proceed according to destiny, and God’s victory and empowerment are destiny, and we will see what our Lord has promised and what our Messenger has foretold, and it is only a matter of time and achieving the cause.
Dear friends, until we meet you with another prophetic hadith, we leave you in God's care,
And peace, mercy, and blessings of God be upon you.
