Presenting trials to hearts

Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Numair narrated to us, Abu Khalid, meaning Sulaiman bin Hayyan, narrated to us, from Sa`d bin Tariq, from Rib'i, from Hudhaifa, who said: We were with Umar, and he said: Who among you heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, mention the trials? Some people said: We heard it, and he said: Perhaps you mean the trial of a man in his family and his neighbor? They said: Yes, he said: That is expiated by prayer, fasting, and charity, but who among you heard the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, mention the trials that surge like the waves of the sea? Hudhaifa said: The people were silent, so I said: I did. He said: You? May God bless you, Hudhaifa said: I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, say: "Trials are presented to hearts like a mat, stick by stick. Any heart that absorbs them will have a black spot marked on it, and any heart that rejects them will have a white spot marked on it, until they become two kinds of hearts: one white like a smooth stone, which will not be harmed by any trial as long as the heavens and the earth endure, and the other black, dusty, like an overturned jug, which recognizes no good and denies no evil except what it has absorbed of its desires."

Narrated by Muslim

Abu Khalid said: I said to Sa`d: O Abu Malik, what is "black and dusty"? He said: Intense whiteness within blackness. I said: What is "an overturned jug"? He said: Upside down.

The meaning of presenting trials: is that they stick to the sides of the hearts, that is, their sides, just as the mat sticks to the side of the sleeper and is strongly affected by its adhesion to it, and it was said that the meaning of stick by stick: that is, they are repeated and repeated, one thing after another, and his saying like a mat: that is, as the mat is woven, stick by stick, and splinter after splinter.

Al-Khattabi said - its meaning: it appears on the hearts, that is, trials appear on it one after another, just as the mat is woven, stick by stick, and splinter after splinter.

Al-Qadi Iyad said: That is because the mat weaver among the Arabs, whenever he made a stick, he took another and wove it, so he likened the presentation of trials to hearts, one after the other, to the presentation of mat sticks to its maker, one after one.

And his saying, may God bless him and grant him peace: Any heart that absorbs them will have a black spot marked on it, and any heart that rejects them will have a white spot marked on it, the meaning of absorbs them: it entered into it completely and adhered to it and took the place of a drink from it, and the meaning of a spot marked: a point is dotted

As for his saying, may God bless him and grant him peace: until they become two kinds of hearts: one white like a smooth stone, which will not be harmed by any trial as long as the heavens and the earth endure, and the other black, dusty, like an overturned jug, which recognizes no good and denies no evil except what it has absorbed of its desires, that is: the hearts of the people of that time become, or a person becomes considering his heart, or his heart becomes on two hearts or two types, one of them is white like (smooth stone), that is: like smooth marble stone from the end of whiteness and smooth stone, and the other: (black and dusty) that is: it became the color of ashes, from redness, a color between black and dust, he likened it to (an overturned jug), that is, resembling someone who is free from knowledge and information to a jug that is tilted and nothing remains in it or settles, so there remains no knowledge of what is known and no denial of what is evil except (what absorbed) that is: the heart (from its desires) that is: it naturally follows it without regard to whether it is known or denied religiously.

Al-Qadi Iyad - may God have mercy on him - said: His comparison with smoothness is not an explanation of its whiteness, but another attribute for its strength in holding faith and its safety from defect, and that the trials did not stick to it and did not affect it like smoothness, which is the smooth stone to which nothing clings, Al-Qadi - may God have mercy on him - said: He likened the heart that does not understand goodness to the crooked jug in which water does not remain.

The author of Al-Tahrir said: The meaning of the hadith: that when a man follows his desires and commits sins, darkness enters his heart with every sin he commits, and when he becomes like that, he is seduced and the light of Islam disappears from him, and the heart is like a jug, so if it is overturned, what is in it pours out and nothing enters it after that.

And from what Al-Tirmidhi narrated:

(INDEED, WHEN A BELIEVER COMMITS A SIN, A BLACK SPOT IS PLACED ON HIS HEART. IF HE REPENTS, GIVES IT UP, AND SEEKS FORGIVENESS, HIS HEART IS POLISHED. BUT IF HE INCREASES (IN SIN), IT INCREASES UNTIL IT COVERS HIS HEART. THAT IS THE RAAN WHICH ALLAH MENTIONED: "NAY! BUT ON THEIR HEARTS IS A COVERING BECAUSE OF WHAT THEY USED TO EARN.")

The meaning of Al-Ran:

Mujahid said: It is the man who commits the sin, so the sin surrounds his heart, then he commits the sin, so the sin surrounds his heart, until the sins cover his heart .. and the like from Al-Farra '; He said: It says that their sins and sins have increased, so they surrounded their hearts, so that is the
Ran on them. It was also narrated from Mujahid that he said: The heart is like the palm of the hand, and he raised his palm, and when the servant commits the sin, it contracts, and he closes his finger, and when he commits the sin, it contracts, and closes another, until he closes all his fingers, until it is sealed on his heart.

O best nation brought forth for mankind, be patient, reckoning, content with the command of God, enjoin good and forbid evil, make your hearts attached to what is with God and to meeting the beloved Muhammad and his companions, and not attached to
this vanishing, transient world, for your Lord will give you and you will be satisfied, and the consequence is for righteousness, sharpen your resolve and roll up your sleeves to stand in the face of the oppressive and unjust systems, for God has guaranteed to protect you and support you, if the soldiers of God ride the backs of horses to support the followers of truth, do not grieve for what has befallen you and do not grieve for what you have missed - the time has come for us to look forward to the highest Paradise

O God, fill our hearts with faith and strengthen our hearts on Your religion, and God is sufficient for us, and what a great trustee.

Do you know who is bankrupt?

May Allah greet you, our dear listeners, listeners of the radio of the Central Media Office of Hizb ut-Tahrir. We meet you again with our program "With the Hadith," and the best way to start our episode is with the greeting of Islam, so peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you.

It is mentioned in Musnad Ahmad - Remainder of the Musnad of the Prolific Narrators - that the bankrupt of my nation is the one who comes on the Day of Resurrection with fasting, prayer, and charity, but he comes having insulted this person, slandered this person, and consumed the wealth of this person.

Narrated 'Abd al-Rahman from Zuhair from al-'Ala' from his father from Abu Hurairah from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: "Do you know who is bankrupt?" They said: "The bankrupt among us, O Messenger of Allah, is the one who has no dirham or goods." He said: "Indeed, the bankrupt of my nation is the one who comes on the Day of Resurrection with fasting, prayer, and charity, but he comes having insulted this person, slandered this person, and consumed the wealth of this person. So he will sit, and this one will take from his good deeds, and that one will take from his good deeds, and if his good deeds are exhausted before he settles what is owed to him of sins, their sins will be taken and cast upon him, then he will be thrown into the Fire."

This hadith, like other important hadiths, must be understood and realized. Some people are bankrupt despite their prayers, fasting, and zakat, because they insulted this person, slandered this person, consumed the wealth of this person, shed the blood of this person, and beat this person.

His bankruptcy is that his good deeds, which are his capital, are taken and given to this one and used to pay off that one for the price of his slander, insult, and beating. After his good deeds are exhausted before he settles what is owed, their sins are taken and cast upon him, then he is thrown into the Fire.

When the Prophet, peace be upon him, asked his companions, "Do you know who is bankrupt?" "Do you know" means knowledge and awareness of the inner workings of things. "Do you know" means "Do you really know who is bankrupt?" This confirms the saying of our master Ali, may Allah honor his face: "Wealth and poverty are after the presentation to Allah." When they were asked this question, they answered based on their experiences: "The bankrupt among us is the one who has no dirham or goods." This is the bankrupt in the eyes of the companions of the Messenger of Allah. So he, peace and blessings be upon him, said: No... HE SAID: "INDEED, THE BANKRUPT OF MY NATION IS THE ONE WHO COMES ON THE DAY OF RESURRECTION WITH FASTING, PRAYER, AND CHARITY..."

This confirms the saying of our master Umar: "Whoever wishes may fast, and whoever wishes may pray, but it is righteousness," because prayer, fasting, Hajj, and zakat are acts of worship that a person may do with sincerity, or he may do them hypocritically, but the center of gravity is to adhere to the command of Allah.

We ask Allah to keep us steadfast on the truth, and make us of His righteous servants, and replace our bad deeds with good deeds, and not disgrace us on the Day of Presentation to Him, O Allah, Amen.

Our dear listeners, until we meet you with another prophetic hadith, we entrust you to Allah, whose deposits are never lost. Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you.

With the Hadith - The Hypocrites and Their Evil Deeds

With the Hadith

The Hypocrites and Their Evil Deeds

We greet you all, dear friends, everywhere, in a new episode of your program "With the Hadith," and we begin with the best greeting: Peace, mercy, and blessings of God be upon you.

It was narrated from Buraidah, may God be pleased with him, who said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: "Do not call a hypocrite 'Sayyid' (master), for if he is a master, then you have angered your Lord, the Almighty and Sublime." Narrated by Abu Dawood with a Sahih (authentic) chain of narration.

Dear listeners,

Indeed, the best of speech is the word of God Almighty, and the best guidance is the guidance of His Prophet Muhammad bin Abdullah, peace and blessings be upon him. Now then,

This noble Hadith guides us on how to deal with the hypocrites we know. The Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, was the only one who knew all the hypocrites by their names, but we can recognize some of them by their characteristics, such as those mentioned in the Quran who perform their obligatory duties lazily and grudgingly, and those who plot against Islam and Muslims, encourage strife, spread corruption on earth, and love to spread immorality by calling for it, protecting it, and nurturing it, and those who tell lies about Islam and Muslims... and others who are characterized by hypocrisy.

Therefore, we must understand what the Sharia (Islamic law) has deemed good and what it has deemed bad, so that we can distinguish the hypocrite from the sincere, and take appropriate action towards them. We should not trust those who do what contradicts the Sharia while pretending to do what they do out of concern for Islam and Muslims. We should not follow them or support them, or even less than that, by describing them as "Sayyid," otherwise God Almighty will be angry with us.

We Muslims must be the most keen people on Islam and Muslims, and not allow any hypocrite an entry point into our religion and our families, as they are among the most dangerous things we may face these days due to their abundance and the multiplicity of their faces. We must use the Sharia scale to measure the actions of those who claim to be Muslims, for Islam protects us from such evildoers.

We ask God to protect our nation from such criminals, and to guide us to the straight path and the correct scale by which we measure people's behavior, so that we stay away from those whom God does not love. Amen.

Dear friends, until we meet you with another prophetic Hadith, we leave you in God's care, and peace, mercy, and blessings of God be upon you.
