With the Hadith
"Chapter on the Best and Worst of Leaders"
We greet you all, dear listeners everywhere, in a new episode of your program "With the Hadith," and we begin with the best greeting, so peace, mercy, and blessings of God be upon you.
It is stated in Sahih Muslim in Al-Nawawi's commentary "with modification" in the "Chapter on the Best and Worst of Leaders"
Ishaq bin Ibrahim al-Hanzali narrated to us from Awf bin Malik, from the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, who said: "The best of your leaders are those whom you love and who love you, who pray for you and for whom you pray. And the worst of your leaders are those whom you hate and who hate you, whom you curse and who curse you." It was said: "O Messenger of God, should we not fight them with the sword?" He said: "No, as long as they establish prayer among you. And if you see something you dislike from your rulers, then hate their actions, but do not withdraw your hand from obedience."
The saying of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace: "The best of your leaders are those whom you love and who love you, who pray for you and for whom you pray" means that they supplicate.
Dear listeners:
One can hardly believe what one hears and sees of what is happening in the lands of Muslims, east and west. Rulers who were nursed on servitude and betrayal, and who stood against the nation, so they killed its sons, humiliated its elders, raped its women, violated its sanctities, severed its ties, and plundered its wealth. The list of shame is long and almost never stops; it goes on with life for them. But the question is, until when? Until when will this shame and humiliation of the nation continue? And how will our children read this history in twenty years or more? Therefore, they deserve the curse mentioned in the hadith with distinction. O God, deal with Bashar and his clique, his thugs and barkers, and all the treacherous and fallen Muslim rulers, and rid the nation of their evils, for they are the devils of this time. O God, we bear witness that we hate them and work to sweep them out of our countries after killing and crushing them. O God, enter us into their palaces and grant us their shoulders, and make us among those who triumph for these oppressed people of the nation, whom their rulers have singled out throughout these decades, so that by killing them, we may write the beginning of a new era, in letters of pride and elevation, the era of the caliphate on the path of Prophethood, the glad tidings of our noble Messenger - may God bless him and grant him peace - and the promise of our Lord in His Holy Book. So do not be deceived by the world, O Muslims, and refrain from working with the workers, and abandon this abundant goodness.
Dear listeners, and until we meet you with another prophetic hadith, we leave you in God's care, and peace, mercy, and blessings of God be upon you.
